Probably not. They can always use volunteers.

You were on a mission to hit 10,000 before SSXI weren't you?

So are you gonna hit the reset button now?

make sure to swap in some NA rotors... low compression rotors will do you no good... and thats alot of work to convert a turbo motor to na for no reason... if you want to keep it NA, stick with the 6-port, so you dont have to mess with new manifolds.... and if its the tranny you want, just swap in a turbo tranny, turbo flywheel and clutch, and an auto driveshaft, then you have the good tranny and the good NA motor... just some helpful advice.....

^^^ I agree.

depending on the car you get, you could also swap the diffs. the TII diff is LSD (so are some N/A's) and then you could just use the TII drive shaft.

you CAN do a 4 port N/A.... I did, thats what was in my drag car (2nd motor). but its not a must unless you plan to do some serious porting.... (like my drag car..... BIG bridge)

Thank you for the advice. I am doing as much research as I can before spending money. The tranny and rear end will be T2 for sure, they seem to be the strongest. I am just still torn between rebuilding a 6 port, which so many people have trouble with, or just go for an import T2 set up stripped for N/A. That would give me the tranny, and the UIM/LIM that could handle a couple hundred HP. (My goal is 200hp at the wheels and under 2500 pounds) But until my car sells, it is still sort of a pipe dream.

So anybody got any big plans for the weekend?

We need to make it stock before you return it for an exchange.
Unless you find a cool employee at Verizon. Software can't cause the cracked case, but just like Mazda Stealerships, they sometimes find anything to void your warranty.
They will give you a new one for free though.
It's something to do w/ the process for making the white plastic. There was a similar issue w/ the iPod's when they started.

I can put up with it till I swing by your house again. Don't we have some stereo stuff to install soon?

Or I guess I could zap it back to stock, return it, then bring the virgin phone to you. ****, don't I still owe you money for that SD card?!

Phone:
Flashing it back to stock can be a little complex. I'll get the info for you, so when I do see you, you'll have a new phone for me to update again.

Radio:
I would like to finish the stereo stuff before SS.
I'm going to try and set aside the 20th to work on it.
We can talk more next week. If you'd like to come over, I'll gladly take the help.
The carpc parts will not be ordered until the Metra kit is on it's way to me.
The parts for carpc's are getting cheaper and better everytime I search for stuff.
I'd like to order the latest and greatest once I know I can actually install it.

I also have a new HD-Radio add-on to install. I bought it for the carpc, because a pc does
not pick up AM/FM signals. The HD add-on takes care of the radio portion for the pc.
I plan to install that when I add the second amp next week. I can take advantage of the
HD receiver w/ any radio, and once the pc goes in, the radio will already be done.

gotta love technology; every time you look, stuff is cheaper! I'm still thinking about gutting out my nav and replacing it with a car PC but that'll probably be something I do next year. Got a few other big purchases in mind for the car first.

what's your time frame for the Car PC? I kinnda want to be there when you install it, just to see how it goes.
