woooooow coooool!

I'm going to change those parking lights once I get my car back too! Except I'm going to use LED's. I can't decide between white or yellow since I have yellow fog lights ^^

Nice looking hyper white lights, especially the front....i got the VHT caliper paint (racing red) kind of bright for my red but we will see once it is applied. Only $8 and i think there is enough for 8 calipers plus some coats...we will see. KC, Keith Erica will we have enought jacks and jack stands for 2 cars at a time. I will be bring some Dr. Pepper and cleaning supplies for the window. Do you have the cleaning supplies for the calipers, steel brush and grease/oil cleaner? Still kind of scared to do this but we all got to jump sometime. By the way KC i think i finely found a color scheam for the banner if it works. Matalic red border do the text, black and then Matalic silver for the racing. I will be going out tomorrow to see if i can find anybody who has vynal.

everyone is on new avatar syndrome....

Lasper, i thought that was the event you were talking about.

I do have a couple wire brushes, but they are getting a little worn out, if someone wants to pick up a couple cheap ones, you are welcome to.

I have two floor jacks, and everyone has a little jack in there trunk. that work great as jack stands also.

i also have four jack stands. so i think between all of the jack stands we have plenty.

the one can of red should be enough to do two cars. i had plenty of yellow left over when i was done.

as for the banner, the metalic red outline and the black inside is fine, but if you want, you can make it a metalic red outline, with no inside (it would be glass) that might look pretty cool. and you would be able to see threw it!
what ever you want to do is cool with me.

as for being hesatent (spelling?) you dont have to paint your calipers you know. if it's not somehting you think you will like, then dont do it. :p

OOOHHHHH. Lesper. I think just the outline would look awesome! JMO

where did Lesper buy his red...where did speeddemon buy his yellow, what about Cesar, where did he gets his.

I'm gonna put some construction paper behind my wheel tonight (where the caliper is to simulate it being painted)...and see what I want to do. Regardless, I'll see all of you tomorrow around 10:00.

WOW I am SUPER pissed off now.
This body shop just keeps delaying my car over and over and they've made me thoroughly mad.
My rental car coverage from the insurance company is over and I had to go down to San Diego this weekend. I was planning on getting the banner done so I wouldn't have to bother speeddemon next week and now they've ruined my weekend.

I am tired of all their excuses. I said I didn't want my rim repaired, it didn't even happen in the accident (I curbed it some time before.) Now because of that and them trying to fix it, it's all messed up and they have to keep it til Monday. Wow. I'm fed up. I'm really mad.

It's not fair that they told me it'd be finished LAST week. Then some excuse about the sealant taking longer to apply. Then putting the body back together took an entire week? It should've been finished. Whatever. Now I gotta stick up with this crappy Jetta for another few days out of my own pocket.

Sorry about this post. I didn't know what to do with all this vent up anger.

sometimes, just letting it all out helps.....oh, I think you already did

Sorry to hear about the fiasco you are dealing with. I have found, that in my previous experience with three cars, to never get your hopes up on time estimates automotive people give you. I have never found that parts, or labor, get done when they say they will. I always add a week on top of the estimate....but it seems that this wouldn't have even been enough in your case. Hang in there. And after all, Jettas aren't that bad....teenage girls seem to like em <------------ (sometimes, humor helps too)

The autozone I went to looked like it was competely in stock of everything and I didn't see any orange. Pepboys was a mess but I think they might have had engine paint in orange.

casey, check to see if they have white. Erica is very disappointed that the two autozones we went to only had primary colors (red, blue, yellow, black)....

They had some VHT paint that is designed for headers, but it doesn't have the chemical protectant that is in the caliper/rotor VHT paint. They did have white in the header kind, but the guy said that we wouldn't be able to use brake cleaner on them once we painted them with that, that the paint wouuld come off....?
