isn't that the same guy who posted a while back, that he could get us the hookup on a custom made exhaust and yadda yadda yadda....he said he was going to come to the meet to show off his wares, and that his friend could "hook" us up with the same gear.

Maybe if we go check out this, we'll finally be able to see his car.

Who's coming with me? (cricket, cricket, cricket).

u know, it's times like these when i really wish i had got the z4 instead of the 8. u really do get what u pay for. bmw dealerships are snobby when it comes to sales- yes. but, once u become an owner, they bend over backwards to take care of their customers. their service dept would never pull this kinda BS. over the past 8 years, i've been to 3 different bmw dealers for service (assael, new century, and beverly hills), and i have to say that the consistency of their quality of service is top notch no matter which dealer u step foot into.

i dunno if i ever want to own another mazda again, given this rotten experience. i don't think mazda really cares about their customers. anyone can sell u a car. but, to make u wanna come back again is an entirely different story.

Couple things to say, yes, you are right, you get what you pay for, this is true. But, you can get bad advise from anyone.

I'm surprised that MNA reacted this way....I'm sure KrazieKave has some suggestions on whom you should call. He gave me the number of the contact he had with his snafu with Romero. Just having this name/number helped me in my discussions witht he dealership.

I still don't know what you were doing with your windows, and how it got so out of hand. I was hoping to see it this last weekend, to help me figure out what you did.

A window is a window man, get a new one. Look at what has happened with Jedi, Xped, yourself and I....we can bitch and moan, but we just need to get our head out of our rears and get our cars fixed. Stuff happens. I can understand your feelings, definately...but this really isn't a big deal. Your car wasn't in an accident, it wasn't vandalized by someone who came and ran off...it wasn't hit in a parking lot without a note being left.

I hope your weekend went well, as we know you were home and not out with the rest of us.

i don't want to start an argument. i was just sharing my frustration. but, i guess not everyone empathizes. (thanks for the support fuel4thefury. and, i don't really know u raz, so i won't take anything u said personally.)

if u read my post carefully, i called mna to see if there was anything they could do to help [arbitrate] w/ my situation w/ the dealer. and, they basically told me to get lost and that they don't care.

my car is still under warranty, and i am technically a "mazda" customer- not just a customer of the dealer where i bought the car. even if i did the damage myself, a car co that cared about their customers would try to step in and see what they could do to help. (i never said that i wouldn't pay for th damage.) but, mna was very rude to me & made it very clear that they don't care. and, that is why i was frustrated.

ditto.

Gerry, i understand your frustration, but you still have a car to enjoy! i'd give [metaphorically speaking] my left nut to have my beatiful car back in the prestine condition i had her in before i crashed.

yeah, things could go wrong.....like a leaky window, or maybe putting your rearview mirror in upside down......that would suck. Things will get better man, they will.

That issue with MNA is amazing to me, but I do recall that Mazda video that surfaced a while back that basically said to forget the rotary owners...as they won't be included in any surveys...I guess MNA has taken that to heart and could care less about us. I think I'm gonaa do a bod grass doughnut next year at sevenstock Maybe not a doughnut, but more of a rotor shaped burnout in their grass. I guess I should start practicing, as that may be a hard shape to make in a burnout.

Don't worry Gerry, last year safelite replace the front windshield on our mini van and they did a fantastic job, plus it was really cheap. If I remember correctly it was around $350 for the windshield.

Enjoy your car it not like we have a exotic/super car, to be honest I really don't give a rats *** that I smashed my mazdaspeed bumper. I'm enjoying my car so much lately since I've been picking up chicks left and right cause the 8. I'm kicking around town with my jacked up bumper and theres no sense in raplacing it since I know it will eventually happen again...

That was just the total price from RB, I did not look for it on mazdaparts.com. Tell me again about this gold member status!

All you need to do is register with www.mazdaparts.com Once you've done that, go to THIS thread and just post something like "just registered with XYZ username, can I get gold status?" They'll flag your account with the discount. (usually pretty quickly)

was that $1106 figure INCLUDING the optional Revi Ram Air Duct?
The reason I ask is because I just got a total of $1,105.74 when I added up the items off their site. I know they redid their website recently and all the gold members had to re-register so I'm not sure if that's with the discount or not.

I'll shoot the owner an email tonight and see if I can get a final price for you.

Jordan, have you considered other exhausts, or are you set on a full RB setup?
Well I would rather have the one that gives the best overall performance, but I did not like the tips on the others, they are too small. I could not find any info on the version II of the mazdaspeed exhaust!

Performance from any of the current exhausts availbe for the 8 are really all about the same. HP gains are minnimal if any on some of those exhausts. To be honest, just go with the one that sounds and looks the best to YOU.

Not to keep beating a dead horse but when you priced it out, did you have:
- Revi Intake
-Revi Air Duct
-RB Exhaust
-All 3?

February-Memorial Cruise for Guitar Junkie

Some pics from the run. Most fo those who said they would made it, did....but it could have been a larger turnout. I think it was very nice for the family to see all those who showed up. I know it meant a lot to me to see people at my dad's funeral, and to hear stories from those I barely knew, stories about my dad that I would have never known.

More pics from the event.

Razz, thanks for the advise on the front windshield, and the new bumper/bodykit looks great.
