yeah, I raced Vipers as well. His launch is incredible, and he just slowly creeps away. I probably wouldn't be a good test in a MT vs. MT since my staggered setup and heavy wheels/exhaust would counteract any performance improvements I would have received from the Racing Beat intake/exhaust.

Now, it would be interesting to see what MT vs Toca would be...he has the most highly modified MT 8 of all us.

lol, a stock mt is faster than my car by about 3 car lengths...

i was going 55 from a dead stop, and the MT was about 3 car lengths ahead of me...

but yeah, maybe we can go on a 'scenic' cruise this weekend in the rain...

nice, slow and safe

since it's going to rain saturday, i'm going to wait until next month to come out to see u guys. w/o rain, it's already an hour drive from la to sb. and, generally-speaking i try to stay off the roads during rain unless absolutely necessary. too many moronic drivers out there causing accidents. hopefully we can do malibu week 1 and sb week 2 in april.

mostly because this is going to be a cold storm, and the Cajon pass usually gets real ugly, if not snowed in.

but I do give Krazie props for being so enthusiastic about driving! you go boy!

so, we still want to meet at Pirate at 9?..or do we want to move it to 10:00 and then head on over to that Bowling Alley? Is this what everyone wants to do to hang out, or am I just talking out my

I wont be going to Farmer Boys on Saturday, as this was mostly for Snowfl8k (she is at an inservice in Hollywood all weekend)....so, sorry for those of you who are in the breakfast crowd.

I dont know, maybe we should take a poll? It sounds like a lot of people will be missing this meet.

how many poeple plan on comming? and what do you guys want to do? I am really down for anything. you guys really want to drive int he rain, we can do that. you want to go bowling, we can do that. you want to hang out at my house and play playstation, we can do that. you want to meet at 10:00 rather then 9:00 we can do that.
but we do need to figure it out soon so that people can make plans,
I myself have a family dinner to go to later in the day/night, but that really should not affect much for the meet.

I need to get some work done on my car.
My front pads are almost completely gone. I have to change them this weekend.
I probably shouldn't go on a drive in the rain, although, if that's the plan, I'll probably go.
I'd like to hangout, but I need to get this stuff done on the car. (Brakes, gear oil, lights, sparkplugs)
So, if there's no drive, I'll most likely stay home.

My vote is...(1) No Drive (2) Meet at Pirate at 10:00 (3) Do some bowling or pool. (4) Get lunch and call it a day.

Cesar, I also need to change my front pads. Are you planning on just changing your fronts? Are you planning on resurfacing your rotors? Did you just buy stock front pads?

Just changing the fronts.
I don't plan on resurfacing the rotor.
Yes, they are the stock pads.

BTW - I'm at 41k miles, and this is my first set of pads.

Keith,
I think you might have the most miles out of us so I'm just wondering; is this the first set of brakes you've gone through?

Also, anyone know what the heck is the difference between the normal Mazda pads and the MS ones? (I'm assuming there really isn't much of a difference)

45,212 miles I believe, and yup...first set of pads. The rears will be fine for awhile.

I would actually consider the MS pads, as they are supposed to be more aggressive street pads. But I don't think it would be good to just replace the fronts with these, and retain the stock ones in the rear. Maybe at the next change I may upgrade both at the same time.

Jorge, you coming out? Interested in hanging out, bowling?

just changing the fronts with the MS ones would be fine. your fronts will just do more of the stopping then it already does.

I would assume that the MS pads are more agressive, and might even have a higher heat range. if this is the case they will not work quite as well at lower temps, but at higher temps they will not fade.
just depends on what they were made for, and I really am not sure what the MS pads are for. I would think they are just a more agressive street pad, and not a race pad. (which you dont want on the street)

as for the meet, since NO ONE has stated that they want to meet at 9:00, and two people have already stated that they want to meet at 10:00 instead. why dont me just change this meet to 10:00 at Pirate City Tattoo. we will then figure out what we are going to do at tht time.

Umm, not sure if I'm going to make it actually. The biggest problem is my best friend is having a get together since him and his wife are having their first child next month. It's at 3 or 4 o'clock on Saturday and I don't want to be late. (not good when the best man is late...)

Hanging out playing video games or going bowling sounds like tons of fun but kind of a lot of driving just to be there for a few hours. I don't know, it's a game time decision at this point.
