I attended my very first autocross in my rental Cobalt this weekend. With 55 psi (!!!) in the rear tires and trail braking you can get the rear to drift...

That was a good meet. VERY OLD faces came out to join us last night. Good to see the meet going strong. I do however notice the lack of pictures in this thread of the meets. If everyone can make it out saturday night again imma bring my camera and shoot some photos of our cars there so i can post some up so let others know on this forum that we have a great meet going on. Hope others will notice and join our group as well. I've extended an invite to the miata/MX5 forum and also the CX7 forum. Soo, hopefully they will make it out this saturday.

umm... well, turns out there is another group of teenage kids that hangout at Famima. and, apparently they do this often enough that it's drawn the attn of Arcadia PD, who not even 15 minutes after we got there, pulled up with 2 cop cars and immediately rounded everyone- including all of us- up curbside for questioning...

needless to say, Sammy, Hao, and I were like- WTF?!! (i guess some of the other guys have seen this before.)

basically, there is no loitering permitted at that location. and, the cops periodically sweep it to check for gang activity.

not fun.

 

yeah it happen to me too when we drop by after gym to grab a drink before we hit back to our houses and we got body searched

no. they let everyone go. but, needless to say, i think that's the last time i'm ever going to that Famima... it's just not worth the hassle.

 

I agree. Generally that's the stuff that has made me cautious of that Famima. There's a ton of kids and while I'm sure most of them are no trouble at all, any gathering of kids late at night is too much of a cause for police suspicion.
