13X now has a new mode of transportation........He still has his race cars, DD and 7s but has now added something else for his transportation.

 

Now I am thinking of possiable mods, perhaps paint and rotor decals, not sure yet

UGH!!! ******* Dodge Avenger rental car! You would think that if Mazda is going to give you a rental car that they would rent a Mazda for you. Even an older one.

Not looking to complain too much, the bigger picture is the new engine. But having driven this piece of **** I wonder how the hell Dodge sells thousands of these things a year?!?

ER says looks like torn calve muscle but have to get to specialist grrrr I truely dislike doctors. Have already made an appointment and cancelled it as I was not up to the gyrations and hoops to jump through, good thing I have health insurance grrrr

Good thng the DD is a huge beast as I have to put the seat all the way back and drive with my finger tips or my foot would not come of the throttle, nothing like revving up to the like trying to stop

 

Prognosis?

 

Will have a better guess once I see the voodoo specialist and listen to their I am sure reccomendation for tons fo therpy and blah blah.

That's because its from Enterprise Rent-a-car... Mazda itself only have a few "loaners" to give out...if any at all. I should know, I've gone through 3 engines.

It was fun while it lasted. But I must say farewell to my 8....actually said farewell last month. She will be missed... after going through 2 rx8's i must bid adieu. If you see her driving by, it won't be me...







So i guess my rotary pass is now expired.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... switched out the Avenger for a Civic. Much happier. At least it's Japanese!

3 engines = dunno. Every maintenance schedule was done at the dealership and they had all the records... unfortunately you do not get another 100k...

Doug was my rep for the last one. Peter was my initial rep but he's a finance manager @ courtesy hendo now since they switched again.

The messed up thing right now though is that the dealer which i originally purchased the car through (Peoples Mazda) is out of business and i'm due a refund for the GAP insurance i purchased. But the insurance company says that the dealer has to initiate the refund. Ugh! So annoying

 

Sorry bro. So the dealership install f'ed up your engines? Or you had 3 different RX8's I thought. I just want to feel good about the install I am getting. Not that I can really do anything about it but still.

 

That is crazy. I'm in the same boat with another car right now. Going to call the GAAP insurance provider on monday about this.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to write a letter, with copies of the contracts, to the State Attorney General's Office.

 

i had 2... first was a '04 GT VR - purchased in late 2003 traded in 2005. Second was the 2006 BB Shinka. Had no probs w/ '04, but traded it in w/ about 30k... the Shinka was purchased in '08 w/ 25k... and I didn't race/drift the cars...just "spirited" if you know what i mean

Engine is here and being installed this week! Yes!!!!!!

She's home!!! She's definitely faster and I am holding back on the throttle for now AND the transmission noise is even gone! Guess I had the thing misaligned. New motor mounts got rid of the idle vibration too.

My baby is brand new again!!!
