Yes that is what we have to do with his car but we also haven't scanned it yet. Insight on how to catch the shavings would be helpful too.

just put a cotton ball all the way in the hole before you drill and it shoots back out the hole or exhaust when you do a crank without ignition. u dont have to worry about getting it dead straight on as long as you rethread all of it. mine is still at a slight angle but runs great.

That's cool, I can see it going back out the hole but it can't go out the exhaust, it would get stuck in the cat.

yeah i bought it for an 05, but you have to have 2 keys to program the new key. programming the keyless entry is cake though.

We'll take that help Ray. If you have the tool then please plan to give us a hand this coming Saturday. We'll get Catalan's plug all fixed up and hopefully get a good compression test on it as well.

Phil, let me know if you get another starter mod and we'll get that on your car as well. Now that we have done it a couple of times it should take only a few moments.

AJ had mentioned possibly coming around again. It will be good to see all friends again.

If Ray can come by on Saturday then it will just take a few, if he is not able to come I can get the tool and we can get it done...Sure hope AJ comes by....I am ordering your extra stuff today for the CAI. Feel bad for Rene but it's fixed so it's not that bad......

Yeah I was up past 2 AM with her car, she was very very concerned and I won't leave someone like that, you guys are more then welcome to use the tool, frankly running down there while I have three sevens at my house to work on stretches me thinner. I understand the 8's do their thing at the Godfathers place so hollar if you need.

I can get the tool and then have it. It's OK Ray.......we'll have it ready for Saturday.

Oh that cel that Chris got was from doing the compression test. It usually happens every time.

When Rene left it was running good just a little strange noise that was dissipating. No one was worried at that time.

Three 7s???? You got another 7?

heck your money buy away lol, they are not expensive I just make odd tools available for SCR members and see must of ya'll as being with us to some degree as we continue to breakdown any segregation of the 7's and 8's as they are rotary powered and yes a third for our young fellow that will be driving next year will be a project/learning as we will go through every system from getting to go,stop and painting it (the car is in fairly decent shape) chun that was your que lol, and the noise on Thrashers 8 was some of the compression blowing past the leading plug on the second rotor. once fixed we got a CEL but went through the reset procedure and as of the last I have heard car is running fine

thanks again to Easy as he was working on dondo's 8 but took the time to speak with us

I also make tools available to all in need......The part is cheep and we should have one in more than one location. Actually I have my garage open on some Saturdays for all SCR members to come by.....I looked back and notice I did not do a very good job saying it was open to all..My bad. Open Saturdays are determined by requests from members.

Easy is a good guy and will interact with us when requested.

The cel should come up every time you turn over the 8 with out a spark plug or use the disable. It will go away with the third startup or if you do a reset.

Hey Phil, my error code was P0031. Do you mind checking with Charles/Ray what exactly that is and then where maybe to look in the DIY to fix it? I know it has to do with the heater control but my searches here haven't really come up with anything.

I am OK with taking apart the center console but I want the damn CEL gone, especially if it is something stupid like a sensor connection or wire.

I am finding a few threads about it. It may be the O2 sensor in relationship to the code reading "sensor heating circuit low". If it is a new sensor it is expensive but oh well, I'll buy it. It that is it then it will help my gas mileage as well.

Wait, never mind. If it is the O2 sensor then it is less than $30. Hopefully it is not hard to replace but I will wait to hear from Mr BHR himself
