back in the day before gps the CID in England (i guess its our version of the CIA) would be able to see where you were by seeing what antenna your cell phone last used. i know they have convicted murderers on that stuff. Obviously gps is more accurate tho.

You sound like a cop trying to bait people....... Almost every forum you join, whether it be this one or Vegas Rotary or even LVRS will tell you the same thing, street racing is illegal and not acceptable on the forum. Watch what you say. It's one thing to speak in person, it's a whole other thing to put something permanently on the internet which could get you in trouble, not just in the forum, but with the law too.
Kind of off topic here, did you guys know if you have a smart phone, big brother can trace you to your exact coordinates now?

It takes a real idiot to sit on a public forum talking about how they street race, when any law enforcement agent can log on here and read it. It's basically putting a big red bulls-eye on your forehead. But if your the idiot that does that, well, you'll see eventually what kind of trouble that will get you into.
Also, forum police? those are called moderators, and If i were one, you would have gotten a warning already, so common sense says, I'm not.
Also, if you want to stick to your 7 because were telling you to chill out or because we have an opinion, then stick to your 7. We are all very chill people, I met them all at the last meet, and every one of them were nice and had a good time, but if you are going to come in here with all sorts of negative comments and drama, VR seems like the place for you.
Just my opinion, I don't speak for everyone here.
relax people its only the internet. people are going to do whatever they want. if he wants to street racing im sure he can ask around town and find some illegals on friday or what ever day they go out and race these days but i know that there are still illegals.
Not to be nasty to a new member but:
1. Street racing is illegal
2. Street racing is against forum policy and can get you banned
3. You must not have lived here long - that's the places that Johnny looks for that type of activity. He has no sense of humor with street racing.
4. We have a good track just north of town that has open nights on the drag strip, drift day & nights and the SCCA puts on cone racing. There is a track just out of Parhump that has some open racing on it's road course and the local Porsche club will get you qualified for next to nothing. There are State Of Nevada Road Races, that legally allow you to go as fast on Nevada Roads as you wish.
5. The 8 is under powered and never meant to race in a straight line. Mine could be the fastest 8 in Nevada and in a straight line I would most likely loose to your 7. Put me on a track with corners and now you may just be looking at my tail lights.

It is easy to misconstrue what every one is saying on the forum. Personal contact is my favorite. When you can see the eyes, facial expression and the tone of voice you get a better feeling of what on is saying.

The only way of tracking the phone is thru the GPS system - there is a whole 3 second delay also. ALL cell phones are traceable - easy to fool the system but not your location even if the phone is off.........................
Armin is one of the original members of the local group ......... he disappears every once in a while and then shows up..................Where was Armin at the last meet?????
I am always open to suggestions for something to do during or after a meet. Even on a weekend. It's just street racing is not something I want to get into. In the real old days the Clark County would close a section of a rural road and do a little impromptu street racing. That ended in the late 60s due to drivers that would not live by the rules.
