What you mean "we"?! I believe you're the only one that's forgotten.. There was even a thread made: https://www.rx8club.com/lounge-4/%2Ahappy-birthday-dominion-gilbert-gil-%2A-142175/ Any case, AJ's birthday is April 8th, I don't think you have met him yet though..

Yes I purchased the gauge pod but Ray is picking out the gauges that will best suit my needs and be dependable. No they are not yet installed. No I have not yet installed the mid pipe ether but I will sometime next week. I am slowly changing a few things in preparation for the next set of mods and checking out a bug in my vacuum / boost system.

That's some freakin' strong dental floss, how long did it take you to pull them out with that? If I remember right, you painted your emblems on the old car. You painted them red to match the car, right?

Here's The Bark's Bark:

Just had hand surgery because of him... Well, his pointy shin bone. It caused a pseudo-aneurysm in my hand when I was goofing around with him. Swallowed about $1200 that insurance didn't cover.

Anybody know a good ding/dent remover in town that's reasonably priced? I got a nasty looking one about a month or so ago on the driver side front quarter panel, right of the grill. I assume it was a grocery cart. There's a few smaller ones as well that are bugging the hell out of me.

Also, gotta get the front brake pads replaced. I've been taking it to People's for everything, but I don't know if it's just as well to take it elsewhere, and/or if I should bother with ceramics. Anybody get their pads replaced yet, and if so, how much did it run about?

Cool Dag. How did that happen to your hand???
I would just change them meself if I where you. It should only take about 45min IF you have done them before.

Damn dude, haven't seen you post in a while.. But, you might wanna ask Anthony (DonJuanMair) about getting those dents removed. He got his removed a little while ago, and he might be able to direct you to the place to do it. I don't know if it's gonna be cheap or what, but it's always worth a try!

Broke my finger two years ago and had a "bump" at base of fingers in palm that went away. Playing with my dog in December, I patted him down pretty hard and my hand struck his shin bone which was protruding. I had a cyst like bump form, right where the one was before. I waited 11 days before seeing my doctor, who figured it was blood and tried to drain it and shot it with a steroid. My entire hand turned white/green and lost circulation. When it came back, the pinky and ring finger weren't getting as much blood flow. The pic here is where the blood circulation had yet to return to my fingers:

I ended up getting an MRI, blood work done, and an Arteriorgram before they figured it was a pseudo-aneurysm. I'm fairly positive it was just an aneurysm before the doc poked it with the needle, puncturing the artery wall (that's the difference between the two, a "pseudo" is a puncture in the wall).

The surgery was one month ago and it removed the bulge I had, but I still have some issues with vasospams and my two fingers turning whitish when I stretch them. I'll know more in a week and a half when I follow up with the hand surgeon.

As for the brakes--I last changed brakes on my first car, a 1985 Nissan Pulsar NX, and don't really have the tools. I'm sure it would save a bunch, but I live in a condo complex and don't have a garage.

Thanks, I'll have to flag him down. I've had a run of bad luck since last summer, from having nerve damage in my leg, to running over a stupid screws in the road and replacing my tires, to having my less than one year old computer get fried last August in a thunderstorm. Of course, home owner's insurance deductible was more than what the computer was worth. All that and work has kept me pretty busy. I've been lurking, just haven't posted.

Well, I can tell you that you're not the only one that's had a run with bad luck. Any case, I hope everything works out and best of luck with everything dude. Also, there is no need to get those dents removed right away if it isn't necessary at the moment. But, regarding the brakes maybe myself someone else that's willing to help, can hopefully help you change your brakes. I personally have never changed brakes on the RX-8, but I've done in on other cars and trucks before.. Maybe if we have our meet soon, we can all get together and help out change your brakes at the meet.
