i would not run it with the racepipe...way too loud and droney
supposedly 12+hp but i can tell u its no where near that

Hey guys i'm new to this site, I recently purchased the turbo xs exhaust system for my 8. I'm trying to get a good idea of how it sounds with the factory cat. Is it still noticeably louder? does it sound good? thank you for any response..

 

yea its still a good bit louder but, a little droney
i went from the racepipe to the stock pipe but, still wasnt satisfied so i got a RB dual resonated midpipe and now its about perfect for me

 

apreciate it, that sounds like a good idea. i'll check into the RB midpipe i want people to hear my 8 comin haha. for now i just got the cat-back on the way though

 

I'll probably be putting the mid-pipe up for sale early next month, I'll notify you then. Still waiting to see if i like the set-up, drove 3,000 kms (400 on a track) in the last 5 days seems to be mellowing out. Really starting to like it!

 

Can I still get this deal or did I miss out?

I have ran this exhaust with the race pipe and for me its too loud but it does have a little extra power so I like it for the track. For the street I picked up a second racepipe and installed a 100 CPI cat. Not only am i killing fewer trees, but the sound is much more tame. I'm ordering a new exhaust in a few weeks. Going to be the TurboXS or the HKS Hi-Power..if this deal is still going on when I order I'll probably take the TurboXS

Finally got my exhaust system this past Tuesday and installed the same day. got some pics and videos (Sorry no racing was involved), And a sound clip=















Other than that I truly love the sound of this exhaust. The sound is just like how I thought it would be as a matter of fact better. It gets loud if you really step on the gas but can also be creep-ed soft sounding at very low rpms This is my first dual exhaust owned and I love how the sound of the dual exhaust have that echo sound of the rotary engine. It makes the car sound like a true rotary. It sets off car alarms when driving by cars. The smell of exhaust fumes without the cat is not that bad only while at idle. I absolutely admire the perfect welds on the pipes. everything fit perfect other than having to get new bolts for the exhaust to mid pipe. The stainless steel mirror finish is absolutely outstanding, The long exhaust tips fit the rear bumper perfect. It is defiantly a head turner. I would recommend this TurboXS exhaust for those looking for a nice sounding exhaust; reasonable price and spectacular customer service!

I called customer service a few days ago. They told me the deal will be going on all summer, however, they told me that they're completely out of stock and won't be back in stock until MID SEPTEMBER. That made me pretty angry.

The customer service rep also told me that around September/October they'll be releasing a dual resonated midpipe to replace the racepipe to help quiet down the exhaust. I guess it didn't take them too long to realize it's one of the loudest ones on the 8!

But man, mid-September... I dunno if I can wait that long. Thinking of trying to buy a used Greddy SP2 instead. Damn...

 

I wouldn't have your hopes completely lost until the TurboXS rep that frequents RX8club comes in here and tells us himself. Maybe the customer service guy was wrong or something. You never know.

So what's the deal, TurboXS? Are you guys out of stock, or what?
