Got my car back with the RP Supercat back on, tames it quite a bit for any that were wondering. I had v-clamp flanges welded to the back end of the mid pipe and the front of the cat back and a flex joint welded in so changing the mid pipe out for the track will be easy.

Did turboXS change something? The catback should have bolted right up to the supercat.

I have no idea as this is the only one I've seen, but I can tell you for sure the only place it bolts to OEM is at the header.

Our exhaust is 100% bolt on. No Flanges, welding or anything else is needed to install.

Only if you use the straight mid pipe. Stock cat or RP Supercat is not bolt on.

not true...... the cat back will bolt up to any cat or midpipe.
but the race pipe is only going to bolt up to a cat back with a "slip" flange.
the cat back has a loose or rotating flange that bolt to the midpipe.

I must say that I helped tbk install this exhaust this past weekend and I have done a ton of exhaust installs and this one by far was the easiest. This mid pipe and exhaust fit absolutely perfect. I recently installed and HKS Hi-power and it did not fit as well.

TX

I got the XS exhaust 2 yrs. back and they threw in the 3" midpipe free although I had to bend back the small 3/8 rod hanger alittle,( I think it bent in shipping) but I love the sound. I did cut off the tip ends and added double walled exhaust tips to finish off the setup.

Placed my order successfuly this morning!

Said it should be at my house next monday, I'm stoked. Now the only question is whether to install the whole thing right away, or just the catback at first. I don't mind it loud around town, but I fear freeway drone with the race pipe.. Any comments, anyone?

Thumbs up

I got my TurboXS put on today and it a very nice piece. I like the angle of the cut on the tips that match the angle of the exhaust shrouds and that it was a thick metal on the pipe tips not the thin pipe tips of some other brands. The diameter of the tips filled in the stock shrouds fully and look very professional and mean.

I was concerned about it being too loud but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. If I have my radio on level 14 I can't really hear the exhaust anymore, just a low grumble which is nice. Cruising on the freeway it wasn't bad at all, since it actually quiets down. I think it is the loudest during takeoff if you are really mashing it during the low end rpms.

Being in Vegas it's not bad since there are a lot of cars out here like Lambos and Ferrari's and every other loud car out there to compete with. I actually enjoy going slow now since it has I don't have to get on it to hear my engine growl.

Almost forgot, my car pulls a lot quicker with the full 3' in pipe all the way through. Also my wife was following me in her car and said she saw big blue and white ***** of flame! Awesome exhaust and you can't beat the price.
