You know I was every where during SSX and with the exception of Moon, Cam and myself I did not hear any talk about decell (and that was just Cam telling he was sending me a fix, and hell the fix was Cam showing up). In fact I was showing my Pettit s/c and do not remember anyone even asking me about decell but I'm obviously not the "builder".

Ok with the flash what are the plans about the maf? Has Pettit finialized a new one? The oem pcm is funny about maf positioning and the shape of the tube housing it. I would imagine with a standard pettit flash that a standard maf tube would want to be used?

I spoke with Cam a couple of days ago and he says that a MAF housing tube will be a released in the next couple of weeks. This is the only thing keeping me from driving down RIGHT NOW and getting the flash.

 

Hell you still have to stop for gas

 

it is going to be hard to turn the flash down. I wonder what the deal with be with the maf pipe and the flash.

OMFG... you guys will never believe what I just heard from my wife on the drive to Miramar. So last night we went to San Diego in the 7 and she loved it (she hasn't rode much in it). So today as I accelerate out of the gas station heading to base she says quote "Man, I actually had fun last night. I know I said I was scared driving through the mountains, but I think I really liked it. I wish the 8 had a supercharger like the 7." Syntax and context aside, she wants FI for the 8!!!

Time to grease the groove gents. Looks like I might join the S/C community after all!

 

Well that's great - we need a few more s/c out west. That Florida group is flaunting their numbers with Georgia and Virginia coming on. That wife is a keeper

 

Im taking a trip to MD north on 95 for the holidays and was woundering if anyone would be interested in a install and flash on or near that route. The cost will be the same as advertised on the Pettit web site but the plus is you have it done in your garage. The only thing I ask is for a worm place to work. Let me now when and were, my plan is in mid Dec. or after newyears. Im also thinking but it depends on finances of covering anyone close to 70 and near route 10 to Vegas if intrests arise.

 

Is that anywhere close to NZ ?

Well, that leaves me 2 more kits. Thats gona pay for my drive crosscountry. The states ill be driving through are Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, VA, MD, PA, Ohio, Ind, Ill, MO, Kansas, CO, Utah, Nev, Ariz, N-Mex, Texas, La, Miss, Ala, Georgia, and did I say FL. Holy crap.

Thanks Phil. Pretty damned good group to be a member of, IMHO. I'd tell you some tear jerking story about how much I liked the RX8 in in Titanium when in came out, how I thought pigs would fly before I owned one, etc., etc. Now, not only do I have one, but I'm getting a blower on it too. Pettit's site is almost like ****.
