Most recent update with dynotronics .... talked to him today. He's going to restore my ecu to stock and send back to me with a data logger and maybe even a laptop he wants me to use. So, I don't have to buy anything , he's just sending out to me to stick into the port and pull data logs instead of using the dyno.

He says he'll be able to see more from this than with dyno runs and wants to get this perfect this time, so that's the plan at this point. I'll log the data for him from what he sends me and will send back to him. He will tune from that. once I get this all done i'll drop another update.

I was doing some reading in the S1 Turbo threads.....if this flash tuning solution ends up working, would we have to find away to adapt the MAF to read the increased incoming air? An Air Straightener perhaps?

Well ... here's where my situations at ,

received my ECU back from dynotronics flashed back to factory along with a datalogger and some software to hook up to my laptop. Took a while to get bacause I kept missing the damn fed ex guy and he needed a sig. Anyway, hooking this thing up to my data port monday and doing the logging. After that will send it back to him with all the data and he will perform the tune on his end and send back to me. Hopefully, some significant improvements will be shown at that point.

Another issue .... I've recently been told that DynoJet is pretty much the joke of the industry when it comes to Dyno's . Is this the case ? If so .... should i still stick to that dyno since that 's the one my others were pulled on or should i find a better quality dyno ? According to what i've heard .... they're totally inaccurate ? Anyone got any info on this ? thanks,

B

The Dynojet isn't the greatest dyno for tuning because a load bearing dyno like a Dynopak would be ideal. That said, if you are doing pulls and sending logs a Dynojet is perfectly fine.

Either way, be sure to stick to the same dyno because they do vary slightly when it comes to reporting power output.

Well, I'm sorting out the power mod unit and I'm having good luck. I had a problem with the car falling on its face at 4500 and since I turned off the fueler map its revving to redline. Ok, let me start over. I've placed the stock 480cc secondary injectors into the primary holes and set of 650cc injectors in the secondary holes. At this point I'm holding solid AFRs (11.5 to 11.9) up to 5500 were I start going lean and end up at 13 at 6200rpm and I'm at 100% fuel. With the stock map and the PM the secondary's don’t start spraying till 6200rpm. At that point the secondary's come on and she goes so fat it sputters flat. I need to make some choices on what to do next. I think the best route to take would be is figure out how to power the secondary's independently. The PM unit has an output for additional injectors but the diagram doesn't show how to wire it in or the pin out and the unit didn't need them for the S1. If there's a way to figure out ware the output would be with out a pin out for the PM. Unless someone has another idea???

Ok Update .... Data has been logged and sent to Dynotronics ... ECU has also been sent back to Dynotronics. Now just have to wait for them to do their thing with the new info from the datalogger and then throw back on the dyno one more time . I'm guessing a couple weeks . B

It is possible that the secondaries you used have latencies that are nowhere near the stock injectors ,not to mention that the incorrect scaling will bring them on hard so who knows what they are outputting ....

bcdjudo7, thanks for keeping us up to date.

Since he is starting with your stock software, this is really like the first round. It will take several. Glad you are keeping at it!
