Need advice on installing Ogura metal clutch/flywheel set
I'm new to the RX8 as I have just bought a pre-owned pre FL RX8. It has done about 38k miles and the clutch is about due for replacement as it occasionally slipped during low-gear engagements.
While browsing the forum on clutch/flywheel I somehow favor the Ogura metallic clutch set, which comes as an integral unit. However, perhaps some of you who are knowledgeable about after-market clutch/flywheels may be able to advise, do I need a counter-weight (similar to those used with RB or Act flywheels) to be installed with the Ogura set? Your advice will be most appreciated.

I wonder if anyone who has installed such an Ogura in their ride can advise apart from the need of a counterweight how appropriate is its application in a stock RX8. Much obliged.

I certainly will heed the kind advice from you guys on the application bit. Guess I should be looking into other alternatives (Exedy?) of the same hardwares. Thanks, guys!

As long as you stay in the "Stage 1" category, you should be fine as long as the pressure plate has the same (or minimally higher) pressure plate clamping force, the clutch disc has a little bit of copper stranding in it (as the 10803A, 10803AHD, and ZM8-HDSS do) so as to deal with heat a little better than the OEM disc, and the release bearing included is not simply the OEM/Koyo offering. You may also want to ask whomever your chosen retailer is to be sure that you get a pilot bearing seal, as well, because not all kits do.
