I'm looking into changing out my stock wheels on my 2009 GT. I want to put 265/40R18 tires all the way around and don't know what size wheels to locate that I won't have to modify anything in order to have no rubbing. I will be running on the track and autocross. Any suggestions???

You don't want 265/40/18. It's too tall

I was wanting more rubber to the pavement. So the best thing I can do is just mount 245/40R18 on my stock rims I guess...

Or 265/35. If you are gonna track it, 245/40 is a better choice.

Cool. Thanks for the input! I think i will stick with the 245/40. Just gotta decide if I want to get new wheels or stick with my stock ones...

I'm looking to go 18x9 +35 I think...

No suspension mods (yet) Not sure what size tire to go with, so input would be appreciated.

How would this setup compare to stock as far as being a little more flush than the stock wheels, particularly in the back? I hate how sunk-in the rear wheels look...

1st lower the car
2nd ditch the stag fitment
3rd get fender work done
4th go with at least 10 wide or GTFO
5th take pictures n' brag about owning some cool wheels.

They are a set that I am buying off someone so ditching the stag is not an option. Also why I am not lowering first b/c I cannot afford both and don't want to miss these wheels.

here is a pic:

good gawd those are nice.

well, since you're locked by the wheels. I would def wait n' save money for the suspension otherwise you're wheels are gonna poke out ridiculously on oem struts.

imo, patience will be your best friend.

Btw, 45 is a tall sidewall. Shoot for a 35 profile. You also may want to reconsider the sizing. imo, 245F; 255R

You're gonna need a roll on all four corners.

I kinda figured. I knew once I get them it would be a while before I could mount them. I really just want to avoid getting 4 new tires when I had just bought grand worth of tires like 2 months ago. These wheels came out of no where and I had to have them.

Yeah, tough break. Maybe try n' sell em' on craigslist or something so they won't be a total loss.

Post pics when you have them on though...

It seems kinds crazy to build a car around a set of wheels, but I can almost understand where you are coming from cuz those wheels are beautiful!
