Hey quick question
I'm not very good with tires
but will there be a noticeable difference in ride quality from 225/45/18 to 245/40/18?
On the stock rims btw
basically it's a 40 series instead of 45 and a bit wider lol

While I've been sitting here waiting for my powertrix coilovers I've been looking at other wheel options.
So now I'm thinking:
Advan RG-D
18x10.5 +25 5x114.3
Would I run into any issues? The have a +15 as well..
What size tire would you suggest? Never had a wheel that big. I'm N/A so no need for giant tires.

It's possible if the car is sitting on the ground with pulled fenders. Anything less than that will not work. Is that something you want?

yep. so I'd have to pull front and rear? And do you think maybe 265/40/18? I don't want to stagger the tires. Also while sitting on the ground with pulled front am I going to run into problems with my turning radius?

That would put you on par with the most aggressive setup on an rx8. I'm gonna say it's probably beyond what you want to do. Yea pull front and rear with the bumper tab removed. Suspension set on super low and super stiff. That is what tiltmode has in the red Volk RE30. 265/35 not 40 big difference. I'm not a person to ask about turning radius or scrub radius or any of that. It's definitely not the best setup for performance.

Yea Tilt's car is the one I was looking at. I didn't even think about how super stiff I would have to have it all the time. Thats not for me so I think I'll stick with the last setup I asked you about.
Thanks for the help!

265/35/18
18x9.5, any offset

Stock body S2 R3, only inner fender mods allowed (i.e. rolling of the inside, removal of the lip, no outside flaring / rolling), minimal camber usage (i.e. within standard spec)

Will it fit? What do I have to do to make it fit? What's my offset range for being flush to barely clearing the inside?

or you could try reading this thread, but I suppose that takes some effort too ... never mind that it's one of the most common fitments here since basically forever

Rotary that depends on how low you are and how much camber you have. For me, +28 all around and 265s would be about perfect. Another inch lower that could work maybe. 255/35 will need you to be very low for the wheel gap to not be unruly. A few mm one way or the other can be made to fit but too low of an offset requires a permanent fix or camber if minimal while higher offsets are cheap and easy to fix.

Roen if you are stock height then get +45. No fender mods needed and will sit decently flush. Search for it as anyone with 9.5" rpf1 will be running that with 265 or 275

J i dont mind modifying the fenders if i have to. I know its something you have to do when going aggressive. Im more concerned on making it look good. I want it to look flush and not poke. I have a choice between +20 or +30. To me the +30 seems like it might not look aggressive

Got a page number for me? Sure I can spend an hour and have three offsets that work, but it would be nice if there was a range that could be provided, which I'm sure, has not been discussed yet as they rarely are in these threads.

I know +42 works possibly up to +30, but does +43 work? How about +29?

Depends on ride height!!! We said +45 works so obviously +43 works
