I tried searching but this thread is huge! haha

I just ordered a set of powertrix coilovers and I want to get aggressive.
So now I'm looking at wheels.

18x9.5 +25 f/r
5x114.3
73.1 centerbore (I heard there was adapters for these anyone know where to buy?)

245/40/18 f/r

Would this get me where I want to be?
I am willing to do fender work.

Hub rings are cheap and fix the centerbore difference. I think metal ones are the best. That will fit with rolled fenders and the bumper tab removed in the rear. I posted some pics of my car the other day in the aggressive fitment thread with very similar specs

Okay, so after MONTHS of waiting to get just the right parts, I finally got the Advans on. I posted these specs some pages ago, but here they are again:

18x9 +29
Lowered on H-techs with D-specs

They look amazing. Could not be happier. BUT... I'm having rubbing problems on the rears, especially the driver's side. On the drive home from the tire shop, the fender lip started shredding my brand new Dunlop Star Spec tires along the side wall. The passenger side only hits when I ride over a large dip in the road. So, I put the stock wheel back on the driver's rear side until I can figure out what the best course of action is. Btw, the fronts don't seem to be rubbing at all.

Another member here has the same wheels and lowered on Tein Basic coilovers - but told me he has no rubbing issues at all. This is mainly what prompted me to try this setup without making changes up front. I can think of three things that COULD be different between our cars:

-I am not running as much camber
-My tires run wider than his tires (Star Specs vs Sumitomo HTR Z III I think)
-His suspension is stiffer than mine

The tire seems to be hitting mainly the center of the lip in the wheel well (see the paint rubbed off the lip, below), but there is also rubber that has rubbed off on the outside of the fender.

Judging by the pics below, do you all think I should just start by running more camber? I will roll the fenders if I have to, but a new rear alignment seems to be the best start. Take a look and tell me what you think!

Rolling the fenders is cheaper, saves money on tires vs more camber, and gives more room. Star specs are definitely wider than sumitomo.

I don't know how much cheaper rolling the fenders would be, if at all. Seems like around here the only shops that will roll fenders charge a mint for all their services anyway. I'm all for keeping my tires longer though.

roll your fenders = solution

otherwise it might grab or dent your fender if you ever run into an unforseen dip or pothole.

which may end up emptying a pocket or two to repair.

That sucks. Here is $25-40/fender and alignments are around $100-150. Forgot to say your fenders won't slowly unroll themselves like an alignment.

Thanks guys... I will continue to look for a shop to do this. It looks like the increased cost comes in when they have to paint or seal the lip so it doesn't crack and rust. I'm assuming the actual fender-rolling part of it isn't too costly.

Hey congrats on the Advans man... I love those wheels. Great fitment too on your car; going to really stick to the road with those tires

You can also rent a fender roller online for $50 I believe. Comes with everything you need to roll your own fenders (even a heat gun). Google it

i guess the offset wont matter it WILL fit, but it will look awkward as that is the wrong tire size and you will be much too high IMO
