Will It Fit Thread
#6926
will Rota 17x9 DPT's fit with 35 mm offsets (or 42mm offsets)? thanks... 2004 RX8 - very yellow.
car is planned to be about 50% track so I am not too worried about going backward with 17" vs 18 or 19"...

What about the front? You think it will be ok?
I forgot to mention i'm lowered on Eibach Pro-kit. (although it doesnt seem to be as low as advertised. How long does it take for springs to settle?)

If you want tires close to stock height AND want to be lowered, you will have some work to do in the front. Not recommended by me. You can run 285s just make sure they are shorter than stock and around the height of 245/40. Personally, that's just getting a bit wide for a 200hp car on the street.

Why do you want to go wider tires in the back? It's not helpful handling wise.
225 isn't a stretch on 8" wheels. How does that have anything to do with accuracy of the calculators?
You have to say your suspension setup for us to know how much spacer you need.
Common thing to do is 245/35/19 all around

The reason Im widening only the Rear is that I have a 5 year wheel and tire road hazard, Ive been "picking up" nails close to the side wall and they put a new one on for free. thing is I used 2 of them to much and since Ill have to pay for the tire Ill get something a little wider for the look. and eventualy get them all to the same width.
I got the Stock R3 suspenssion, Wheels seems to be sunk-in alot and just want to fluch them out, I can guess a good inch between the thread of the tire and the fender, I can mesure it to be more accurate.

Ok guys so I need new rear tires due to negative camber wear, I will be ordering a camber kit to correct this issue and installing it before I get the new tires.
Current Setup:
Wheel: 18x9.5 +30 offset with 10mm spacer(So really +20 offset)
Tire: 255/40/18 Falken FK452's
Lowered on coilovers, rolled fenders and shaved rear tab.
I want to run a wider tire in the rear so the question is will a 275/35/18 fit with the spacers at +20 offset, if not will it fit without the spacers at the +30 offset?
Thanks in Advance

hey all, currently lowered on tein s-tech and tokico dspec (-1.4f, -.7r), no fender mods
wheels: 18x9.5 +40
tire choices?
245/40/18 (i have a good pair in this size, but will it look goofy since i don't need the stretch?)
265/35/18 (this just fits without fender mods right?)
275/35/18 (fender roll necessary?)
thanks, assume stock alignment after mounting this set. at the moment, have not done an alignment.

last fitment question. My rims are on order and i can do anything i want spec wise.
My thoughts are as follows. I am in need of ground clearence and the reasoning for going bigger than oem.
19x10 +32 all round with 275/35 tire. I will space the back if need to match front fitment. this way i can still rotate.
I will have a set of 18s for long distance travel (switch when i get there or if i decide to ever track).
I know roll and maybe pull in the rear also shaving the tab. i can shave the inner fender lip on the fronts but no pulling (fiberglass)
I have 1.25" left in up on my coilovers. do you think this can be done and not go past my -1.6-1.8 camber?
Im hoping to get imput from a few people before i seal the deal.

The tires I currently have are 275/35/20 in the rears..and I got the rear wheels custom made with a +40 offset. Do you think If I got 275/30/20 tires this would eliminate the rubbing I'm having ? Or how how about 265/35/20 ? Thanks guys

I'll try to get some pics up here tommorow. The guys at the shop said the rear tires were making contact with the inner quarter panel plastic....so they removed each plastic piece on both sides (held by 2 bolts on each side). Are the tabs your
Referring too on these plastic linings that were removed ? If so, then the tires are deff still making contact with the fender on bumps

If fenders are rolled, that can be fixed with some more negative camber. Feel under the fender and see if you can feel that tab. It will be where the fender and rear bumper meet. It has a flimsy piece of plastic that covers it, but the tab itself is hard. If in doubt, post a picture of that area. You might have to jack up the rear of the car.
and I'm just gonna be honest and say I don't like those wheels one bit. They aren't bling bling 20s but they still aren't a good design imo.
