will Rota 17x9 DPT's fit with 35 mm offsets (or 42mm offsets)? thanks... 2004 RX8 - very yellow.

car is planned to be about 50% track so I am not too worried about going backward with 17" vs 18 or 19"...

Yeah you will want to roll the rears and trim the bumper tab back there.

What about the front? You think it will be ok?
I forgot to mention i'm lowered on Eibach Pro-kit. (although it doesnt seem to be as low as advertised. How long does it take for springs to settle?)

If you want tires close to stock height AND want to be lowered, you will have some work to do in the front. Not recommended by me. You can run 285s just make sure they are shorter than stock and around the height of 245/40. Personally, that's just getting a bit wide for a 200hp car on the street.

You have to say your suspension setup for us to know how much spacer you need.

Common thing to do is 245/35/19 all around
Accuracy of the calculator meaning He calculates the height of the tire 19"+(40%225mm) = X, but probably not considering the angle of the tire (I know its not a MadStrechBro), I dont want to have the Rear Higher than the front or the lease possible.

The reason Im widening only the Rear is that I have a 5 year wheel and tire road hazard, Ive been "picking up" nails close to the side wall and they put a new one on for free. thing is I used 2 of them to much and since Ill have to pay for the tire Ill get something a little wider for the look. and eventualy get them all to the same width.

I got the Stock R3 suspenssion, Wheels seems to be sunk-in alot and just want to fluch them out, I can guess a good inch between the thread of the tire and the fender, I can mesure it to be more accurate.

Stretch doesn't shorten the tire. 245/35/19 and 15-20mm spacers all around is my opinion

Ok guys so I need new rear tires due to negative camber wear, I will be ordering a camber kit to correct this issue and installing it before I get the new tires.

Current Setup:
Wheel: 18x9.5 +30 offset with 10mm spacer(So really +20 offset)
Tire: 255/40/18 Falken FK452's
Lowered on coilovers, rolled fenders and shaved rear tab.

I want to run a wider tire in the rear so the question is will a 275/35/18 fit with the spacers at +20 offset, if not will it fit without the spacers at the +30 offset?

Thanks in Advance

Wow that's a great price. I called this performance shop in my area and they want $80 per fender ($160 for both rears)....which sounded a bit too expensive, but there shop looks nice and I see they are always busy so they prob do good work. Then there is this other spot farther away which I went to today and the best price he said he could for me was $50 per side, but I don't like the sound of his method. Supposedly at his shop they use a baseball bat to flatten out the fender lip while rolling the car back and forth......this to me sounds like the cheap way to do it although he guaranteed me that it he would do a great job. If Racing Results uses a legit Fender Roller tool I will prob get it done with them.

Wow $25 a fender....that is dirt cheap. I guess I won't be able to find prices like these in New York lol

hey all, currently lowered on tein s-tech and tokico dspec (-1.4f, -.7r), no fender mods

wheels: 18x9.5 +40

tire choices?
245/40/18 (i have a good pair in this size, but will it look goofy since i don't need the stretch?)
265/35/18 (this just fits without fender mods right?)
275/35/18 (fender roll necessary?)

thanks, assume stock alignment after mounting this set. at the moment, have not done an alignment.

alright cheers, i didn't want my pair at 245/40/18 to go to waste but not sure if a stretched tire for my modest setup would look out of place. i'll purchase another pair at 245/40/18 to keep a square setup. thanks.

last fitment question. My rims are on order and i can do anything i want spec wise.

My thoughts are as follows. I am in need of ground clearence and the reasoning for going bigger than oem.

19x10 +32 all round with 275/35 tire. I will space the back if need to match front fitment. this way i can still rotate.

I will have a set of 18s for long distance travel (switch when i get there or if i decide to ever track).

I know roll and maybe pull in the rear also shaving the tab. i can shave the inner fender lip on the fronts but no pulling (fiberglass)

I have 1.25" left in up on my coilovers. do you think this can be done and not go past my -1.6-1.8 camber?

Im hoping to get imput from a few people before i seal the deal.

Alright....so I got my fenders rolled today and I'm still getting rubbing when going over bumps or quick corners..Ugh. I ended up getting the set up with the 20x10 rears. The guy at the shop suggested I look into coilovers if I want to maintain this set up...as they will not sag down in the rear as stock suspension because of the advantage of height adjustment.

The tires I currently have are 275/35/20 in the rears..and I got the rear wheels custom made with a +40 offset. Do you think If I got 275/30/20 tires this would eliminate the rubbing I'm having ? Or how how about 265/35/20 ? Thanks guys

Yeah the 275/30 will definitely help. The 35 profile is too large for a 20" wheel.

Only thing - you are going to have to give your fenders a good pull, or add more negative camber. 275's only have a small stretch on 10".

taller than stock tires in the front = not the best choice but I wish you luck since that is what you are set on.

By "definetly help" do you mean it will still rub or no longer rub ?

Where are you rubbing? It's probably that tab on the rear bumper... you need to shave that off or until it stops making contact with the wheel.

I'll try to get some pics up here tommorow. The guys at the shop said the rear tires were making contact with the inner quarter panel plastic....so they removed each plastic piece on both sides (held by 2 bolts on each side). Are the tabs your
Referring too on these plastic linings that were removed ? If so, then the tires are deff still making contact with the fender on bumps

Do you guys think I will no longer have rubbing issues with 275/30/20 ? At this point its either that or Ima have to go with another set-up . These wheels look amazing in person tho I'd hate o have to part with them

If fenders are rolled, that can be fixed with some more negative camber. Feel under the fender and see if you can feel that tab. It will be where the fender and rear bumper meet. It has a flimsy piece of plastic that covers it, but the tab itself is hard. If in doubt, post a picture of that area. You might have to jack up the rear of the car.

and I'm just gonna be honest and say I don't like those wheels one bit. They aren't bling bling 20s but they still aren't a good design imo.

But are you saying 275/30s will still rub ? I personally don't like how the wheels look in that pic either.....pictures can be deceiving though. I wouldn't have bought them if they didn't look good in person. Here are some better pictures of when I put the a wheel they had on display at the shop next to my car.

If ya still think don't like them one bit...then o well...that's your opinion. Not everyone has the same taste
