245/40/18 is the widest I can go on stock wheels and suspension then?

I wanna fill the fenders as much as I can without having fender rolling or having the tires hit the inside of the fender when cornering.

can I go wider on the back? how much wider?

You can run 285s but I don't suggest it.

Whooo I got it now Yes, technically it's possible to put 285's on the stock wheels, no rubbing. I also don't suggest it. 245/40/18 is a very popular size. It fills out the wheel well very nicely. You can even add 15mm spacers all around for that extra mean stance; no rubbing on the fenders.

17x10 +25 all around wrapped in 285/40/17 rubber.

Been reading through this thread for hours and have yet to find anything definitive... I know 17x10 +25 will fit, found one car with that setup, looked right... Just the tire size... I don't know how much can actually fit under these cars...

I'll keep looking, but I appreciate the help!

Side note... I refuse to run ridiculous camber... this is for a track car...

Definitive NO WAY IN HELL......did you look at the car running that set up? It had 245s and did not have the extra 20mm of clearance needed for 285s, not to mention it would be completely outside the fender even with ridiculous camber. You did not read this thread for hours. You can't bullsh*t a bullsh*tter. You know what I eat for breakfast??? Cocaine.

Really? you sat there and looked over my shoulder while I got on at 6am when I woke up, found this thread and started looking through the first one hundred pages or so? No, didn't think so. Don't care if I am a "noob" here, Don't care about your post count. I looked, I asked an honest question and YOU SIR decided to be a dickbag. I don't have all day to sit surfing through forums like some people do. I don't know **** about these cars and I am learning right now, this instant.

NO reason at all for you to be such an ***. A simple yes, or no would suffice.

Thanks!

lol. I'd say I'm sorry but I'm not. I never said you were a noob or anything like that. I just call BS where I smell BS. If you looked at this thread for hours (which I don't believe), then you should have gleaned enough info to know that had no chance of fitting. If you were unable to get that, then you need to learn what offset/width mean before wasting hours of your life looking at what must have been meaningless information.

PS That would not be a good track setup anyways. You have a ton more research to do.

Double PS: You didn't look at this thread too much if you didn't notice it is SUPER DUPER MEGA IMPORTANT to say your suspension setup/ride height.

Ummmm this probably sounds dumb ........

I had stock wheels for 4 yrs and thought they looked great so never changed them .
I recently put on 19x8.5 +35 rims with 245 35 tyres and I really can't believe how much better the car looks with a relatively flush combo like this .

Just sayin' ... LOL

That sounds good to me. Someone did their homework

You'll need rolled fenders and coilovers with a touch of camber; will look awesome!

Camber plates don't exist for our car - stock adjustment will do you just fine regardless.

What are you looking to get out of your coils?

Well my 8 is a daily driver and Im sitting at stock height right now so i want coilovers to lower my ride but the roads around where I live are pretty damn rough. So i want to be able to slam my car down but still have a good ride quality.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm slammed but not enough to scrape on every rock in the road. I only ever scrape on speedbumps or really steep inclines which I obviously refuse to go over. The main part about driving slammed is that you have to really pay attention to the road in front of you. You go over a speedbump too fast and BOOM there goes your oil pan.

245/40 all around or 245/40 255/40?35? Do you want staggered tires? The max width on the rear should be 255 IMO. Any more rubber than that and you're going to have to adjust camber significantly.
