so how much would i have to roll if i want to get 275/35/18s on to a 18x10 +38 rim

or would a 275/35/17 fit better on a 17x10 +38

^that's close to my current fitment.

i'm running 18x10 +40 w/265/35 - i can easily fit 275's w/minimal camber

I'm not lowered by much but considering your suspension setup it'll only take a moderate roll. Some slight shaving on the inside plastics - the tabs should be fine and the wheels should tuck nicely at full load.

the 10 wide w/275's will add weight to the car which may go against some of the purpose behind your build.

9 wide, you can go with 255's and save weight

it's a give n' take

I am running 245/40-18's that are just about done. My buddy owns a tire shop so I can get a new set for around $400.00 but my dads buddy is selling a brand new set of 255/45-18's for his Mustang that he ordered and then totaled the Mustang. I am thinking they would be too tall, what do you think?

im slowly saving some ccw classics, probably once i get a tax refund if i have any lol

9krpmrx8 according to tiresize calculator, you'll have 4% difference with your diameter to stock which is not recommended (max 3%), your sidewalls will be about 0.5inch too high and overall .4 inches wider, at 60mph u'll actually be going 57.6mph

hope this helps?

try it out

J: that would drop me to +30 which is what Rev's wheels are w/out spacers.

Pics should be in the FORGESTAR F14 threads.

Hmmmm, according to that site 255/35's are lower than the 245/40's and I can get a set of those cheap too. Thoughts?

Those will work but you will have more wheel gap.

Use this and I will help you
1. Is the car an rx8? If no, go somewhere else.
2. Is the car not stock height? If no, then explain.
3. Have the fenders been modified in any way? If no, are you willing to modify the fenders?
4. Please state wheel width, offset, and diameter.
5. Please state the proposed tire width and profile.
6. Is the hub size 67.1mm or larger?
7. Is the bolt pattern 5x114.3 aka 5x4.5"?

From now on, you must answer all those questions or I will tell you to go screw yourself.

hey i wanted to get some tires for my 8 and its all stock. nothing has been done to it yet.
but do you think 255/35/18 would look wierd on stock wheels or should i just stick with 245/40/18.
Just a few heads up, Im also planning on putting it on sprint springs which drops it 2"
And 30mm spacers in the back and 25mm in the front or should i go with a 25mm all around?
And will i need a fender roll?
Srry for so many questions
thanks

Hey, so i've been searching this thread and the aggressive wheel thread but haven't really found an answer to my question. I really want a set of black enkei pf01s but finding them is not easy. I found a set on ebay but only available in 18x9.5 with a [B]+15 offset[B]. They are 5x114.3 pattern and I'm thinking of running nitto NT05 on them for track/spirited drive. Keep stock for daily driving. I am not lowered although I'm looking into a set of tanabe pro fives with the teas system. What would I/shop need to do to make them work. I'm lucky to live in so cal and close to reputable shops like evasive and jrx.
