Does anyone know a website/vendor that lists actual face size of specific tires rather than converting 245 -> inches, and so on and so forth? I think it was J that once PMd me with info on a few tires but I don't know where he got it from...

I just went to the manufacturer's websites and looked at the sizes they gave. Nitto gives inflated height and width dimensions to the hundredth of an inch for example. I hope those measurements are more telling than the 245 part.

18x9.5 +38 Work Emotion CR KAI all around. I plan on getting Tein S Techs in the future after the wheels are on, possibly. What size tires should I go for to completely avoid rubbing without a fender roll or anything, and is a roll unavoidable with the S Techs?? Also what are a good tire brand/model for casual driving with some racing for around $200-250. Thanks, sorry if it was asked before but I can't look through all 168 pages...

Hi all,
I currently have a set of Sportmaxx Rims installed on my RX8.
Front: 18x8.5 +35mm offset w/ Falken FK452 245-40s
Rear: 18x9.5 +35mm offset w/ Falken FK452 275-30s
Suspension: Racing Beat Springs w/ Tokico D-Specs (though may upgrade to KW Variant Coilovers) and Agency Racing Sway Bars
The previous owner of my car had rolled the rear fenders pretty aggressively which makes things easier for me. With this setup, the rear tucks in nicely when compressed with at least 3-4mm to spare. Fortunately no rubbing issues for me with this setup.
Photo of when they were just installed (Suspension and wheels were done at the same time, the rear squats much lower now. )
Here's an updated photo with how it looks now:
I'm considering upgrading to a set of 19" rims. The one I've had my eye on are the New Rota Spectrum.

19x9 +20mm
19x10 +20mm
Wheel offsets always have been confusing for me, and my math is even worse... Any idea if I can fit these without rubbing inside or the fender using 265-275 width in the rear and 245-255s up front?
Thanks in advance!

Ok now that's a good question.
I'm going to go on a limb and say 255's should work w/some 'creative' camber and possibly a slight pull.
Then again this is not my expertise in fitting as this falls under more of the Aggressive Fitment Thread. Good luck to you tho.

I'm running 275s on the rears right now with my current setup which clears the fenders with room to spare. Forgot to mention above that I'm running OE stock alignment as well, no crazy camber or anything. Maybe the previous owner had done a great job pulling the rear fenders? I've never compared my fenders with another stock RX8.

InfiniFC: 9.5 +30 is approximately 16mm farther in than 10 +20 which is why he said that.
Jupzee: I have that wheel size, and I'd say 255/40 though some people have run into a problem with that size tire being too tall for a lowered car. 245/40 will definitely work as I have that with a car that's lower than s-tech.

Yeah pretty much the same thing except my 275 tires in the rear. I starting to think the previous owner of my car had done some serious pulling on the rear fenders that make my rears look somewhat roomy.
