If I were you I'd get a little lower offset. You wont rub even with your 265's in the back.

I *THINK* I'm pretty safe... but i'm looking at:

17x8 +44 w/ 245/45/17s

or

18x9 +40 w/ 255/40/18s

stock suspension, want to be using it as track rubber... I'm actually worried about it being overkill on grip for a stock 8 on the track...

Both perfectly fine and not overkill for an 8 on the track.

18x9 +40 definitely my choice. 17x8 is not a good choice if you're looking to get any real tire on there for the track.

I am trying to find a inexpensive set of wheels for winter tires.

I found a guy selling a set of 16" steel wheels that he used on a Mazda 3s.

Will they fit? Or are my calipers too large?

Thanks.

16s won't fit since you have the GT package/manual transmission brakes.

17s will clear the caliper, but offset/width/tire are also important to know for "will it fit."

So you don't know the offset for sure? If 8.5 +50, then you should be able to run a wider tire than you would ever want to for the street. I'd say go with 255s.

Is the offset stamped or on a sticker?

Why so much camber when you don't have an aggressive set up?

The last time I saw your setup Zumn, you didnt have any noticable camber (aka -1.5)

Your tires show much more than a normal -1.5 wear.
