you gotta remember most rims sub $200 are going to have high offsets to allow fitment for all kinds of cars. If you want a lower offset, save up for the real thing or get rotas.

well i already had the 235/40 tires but on my next set of tires i think i am going too go with 255/40. I think that will make my rims look the best and be better for handling!

a 255/35/18 would be a better choice.

Can you explain why? Sorry i was under the impression that for a 8.5 inch wide rim 255/40 is the best choice.

RPM Rush: 235, 245 and 255 WILL ALL WORK. NONE OF THESE ARE 'WRONG' - it's almost a matter of preference if they're just daily driven rubber.

how good would some rpf-1's 17X9 +20 on 245 size tires ride, i mainly daily drive my car and starting to get into autocross. What modifications to the fender would i have to make? is it worth it? oh and im riding on stock suspension.

F: 17x9 +22
R: 17x9 +22

F: 245/40/17
R: 245/40/17

235/40 has less grip and is shorter overall. 255/40 is basically the same diameter as the stock wheels aka speedo and looks. 235 will have more wheel gap and make your car closer to the ground.

OK I bought a 05 that was a bank repo. It has lots of STUFF. KN monsoon, Magnafolw, Billet pulleys. And Axis Matrix 19 staggered wheels. 275/30/19 and 245/35/19 in the front. I don't like the really low profile tires. Can I go taller ? I don't know the backset. It does not appear to be lowered.. I like INVO Thanks a lot really !!

If you go taller, your car will be slower acceleration wise and your speedometer will be wrong. We need to know stuff like the width/offset of the wheels and if the fenders are rolled to say how tall of a tire you can go with. The offset and width should be on the back side of the wheel, or you could probably just take a couple pictures of how the car looks. You may just be better off selling those wheels for some 18s though. Why don't you like the low profile tires?
