Stock strut "brace?"

I just installed the american market Mazdaspeed strut brace, nice part by the way in spite of it's faux carbon fiber wrap, and man is the stock strut brace a joke. I doubt it does a damn thing. Not only is it thin walled, and poorly welded it's compromised by a tweak in the tube about a third of the way across. It also bolts to brackets that bolt to the strut bolts, not directly to the sheet metal. I was dissapointed I didn't get the 4-point Mazdaspeed bar but now I'm glad I changed for something.

Can you upload a pic installed? Does the engine cover still fit with the Mazdaspeed brace installed?

Thx,
Ned
