Stock Sport Suspension 2005

2005 RX8, 18 inch wheels, Stock sport suspension and it squats badly in the rear, new tires PZero all season plus, 20K on a new engine warranty.

This is my wife's daily driver. She is track certified but does not drive around with her hair on fire. I was detailing the other day and noticed the squat. The right rear shock was very wet. front camber is factory set at 0. Rear camber measured from ride height change is over -1.5 degrees. The shock is done.

My wife does not want to lose the ride comfort she currently have but wants a little less dive or roll into a corner. She has no desire to lower the car. If she does not know I wont tell her.

Question: Is there a spring, shock or Sway combo that would provide these traits that is better than the mazda stuff.

Question: Will the stock springs keep the car at the stock ride height without the shock? I am trying to figure out if I need new springs in the rear anyway.

Thanks in advance everyone.

The Mazda stuff is fine, it's just the shocks that are blown and this is common on 10 year old RX-8's.

There are a few OEM replacement shocks (Tokico, Sachs, Bilstein, and KYB). In the past I had KYB gas adjust shocks and Tein S tech (slightly lower 1.5"F and almost an inch rear) springs and it was a good combo but you can't go wrong with Bilsteins either. But your wifes springs are probably fine, just install new shocks and she will be good to go.
