Calling all WORK wheel owners
So now after looking for awhile im not sure if I want to do the whole whip in 18x9.5. I am maybe thinking about doing a 18x8.5 in the front for anyone who has done this are the any positives or negatives. Because I know you have to have a 9.5 to get the concave look. I think i might like the flat front in the front and a concave in the back.
But the weight of the wheel at 9.5 wide (26lbs) is way to much for a racing wheel. Also, the fact that they do not come with center caps IMO makes the wheel look unfinished unless your using the wheels in a track setting.
Personally, I wouldn't pay more then 1k shipped for wheels weighing 26lbs.
Nevertheless, I do like to overall look of the Kai
1,400 is on par. I've gotten that same quote when I was looking at the Kai's about a year ago.

^ I put mine on a scale and they came out to 23.5 but my scale could be sligtly off anyways the extra grip has had a positive effect on handling for me, I do track my car, however, your right pico if it was purely a race car

The look of the Kai is great

And holy cow dezau, $15,000 is WAY too much for a set of CR Kais!!! Be sure to PM a local vendor and ask for the best cash price picked up, minimum advertised price is usually higher than what most vendors sell for.
Check out Darkside Engineering - They're in Florida and offer great pricing on wheels, though you got some a while back. They don't specialize in rx8 stuff but may be able to get it for you, not sure how close/far they are... http://www.darksideengineering.com/

I have mentioned a few times that wheel weight is overrated. The strength of the wheel is very important. I will always take a wheel they weighs more (with in reason of course) then a wheel just based on weight.
I totally agree, last year in preparation for the Sema show I had my wheels repaired/redone/repolished/etc. Unfortunately when I got my wheels back none of them had the weights on them, I had the inner lips done in black and they removed the weights and forgot to re-balance the wheels or put the weights back on etc. When I did get them balanced I found only one wheel actually needed weights, and the remaining 3 were actually perfectly round without them (or within tolerance I guess?). Just goes to show it's not always about weight, sometimes there's a lot to be said for strength and an extra pound or 2. (especially considering I drove on those wheels every day for at least 2-3 years before finally getting another vehicle)

New Rims
I got my new Work Cr-Kai 18x9.5 +38 with Yokohama S Drives 265/35/r18. Is there any way I can get the fronts to not stick out so far. Like some little adjustments.

You need a drop badly.
Only way to get the front more tucked would a 255 instead of a 265, and to put more negative camber. Neg. camber would also adversely effect the tire ware.
265's should be pretty flush (Im on 265/35 with +38et). If you drop the car I think you'll be happier because a drop will automatically give you more negative camber all around.

Im not really sure i need a spacer in the back because as of right now the rear is like perfectly flush. I am just gonna have to wait for coil overs becausee there is no way im buying more tires. Iv already bought 2 sets this month.
