Those wheels are shipped from Japan typically on order. I waited 6 weeks for mine, and that was quick. You'd be lucky to find a place that has them in stock. ;)

Ravspec was the last place I tried and they had a set in stock...unfortunately the gentleman I spoke to said they were just tagged for hold at the end of last week!!

As a side note, Ravspec was awesome to deal with! When I decide what to go with I'll be contacting them for sure! Thanks for your help guys

You just have look harder my friend because there were some good ones right here in this thread (post 111, 112) https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/calling-all-work-wheel-owners-114299/page5/

FYI if your looking for a concaved face you need a 18x 9.5 et + 30 or +38. Most run a 265/35/18 275/35/18/ 255/40/18 tire set ups.

pbjose397 08-16-2010 12:31 PM

I appreciated the help a bunch. So right now my suspension is stock if i get the 18x9.5 +38 will i be able to run them without rubbing? Im not quit sure if thats what I want but it seems like what everyone else gets. As far as the tire goes it seems like i need the 265/35/18, but once again I want it to fit without rubbing at least until I lower it. Because, I am not wanting to do the suspension till later. The 18x9.5 +30 will stick out slightly less? Correct? Sorry, Im new to all this. Thanks in advance

Cf05 08-16-2010 12:33 PM

... you won't rub and it will have more wheel gap than stock with those sizes... you can see mine in a week or two ill be back in stl at that pt...

Hey everyone, been a while since I posted any pics so here are a few from a show back in June, car is tentatively scheduled for professional pics for an upcoming magazine feature and once that happens I should have some nicer ones to post, these were shot by me after slaving over the car in 100+ degree heat and 80+ humidity at a show in Houston, (found out later the heat index was 120! yikes) it's wonder they're even somewhat in focus :D: There's some sweet rides and sick wheels in this thread, keep up the good work! :)

Good god, talk about being slammed. What were the specs on these bad boys again?

Lower offsets stick further out on the wheel well.

You will not have any problems with rubbing using any of the size that I have mentioned. Most people do go with 265/35... if you really want to finish the look off I suggest going with a good coilover or a set of good lowering springs and a strut with a low mount perch to eliminate as much fender gap as possible..

they're 19x8.5 on the front, 19x9.5 rear +36 front and +29 rear :)

older picture of the car from November 2008, the mini-me lives on, just drove/drifted it a couple of nights ago :D: (Those are HPI wheels licensed by Work on it, I painted the centers to match lol)

pbjose397 08-17-2010 11:04 PM

How much did everyone pay for the cr kai because the best price I have got so far is $1399 shipped

pbjose397 08-18-2010 12:20 PM

So now after looking for awhile im not sure if I want to do the whole whip in 18x9.5. I am maybe thinking about doing a 18x8.5 in the front for anyone who has done this are the any positives or negatives. Because I know you have to have a 9.5 to get the concave look. I think i might like the flat front in the front and a concave in the back.
