Planning on buying some RPF1 17x9 but im not sure about the offset, ET45 will be close to stock but would it be a benefit to go with lower ET?

Not speaking about the looks only if its better from a performance point of view.

 

ET45 is what most of us run with the 17x9 because it offers the best tire clearance and there really is no benefit to getting a lower offset that could limit your tire options or make you have to roll your fender. I know looks aren't an issue, but it doesn't matter if you go with a lower offset than 45 because they all have the same size lip and flat spokes as the 45 even at the lower offsets.

Just to go a bit farther on the topic there are basically two faces to the rpf1, the typical very slightly concave face and the slightly convex face.

The quickest example I could think of was a buddy's old RPF1's - front are slightly convex rear are slightly concave - the slightly convex rpf1's are less attractive IMO:

Yeah, the negative effects will probably outrun the possible benefits of wider traction and it's alot easier to get them in ET45.

License plate frames are for sissys. Looks much cleaner without one and a debadge helps a lot too.

Nahh, wrong fitment crew/hellaflush/etc isn't exactly my thing, personally.

Actually, I beg to differ, on a white car at least. If anything, you would at least need one of those carbon plate backings to not have a plate frame and have it look alright. Not enough contrast between the paint + plate IMO

LOL yes! INVISIBLE CORNERS ftw, taking clear corners one step farther! But really, its to help with fitting aggressive setups like this. I have an aftermarket bumper (fujita) that will have the corners shaved/filled in but for now, I ditched them in the OE bumper.

To be completely honest, I'm not sure of the exactitude of my current alignment. I'm about halfway on the camber bolt and have a pinch of toe out. Because ride height effects camber, I cannot equivocate the bolt position to amount of camber. So, in short, I really cannot tell you. Because I change ride height and other parameters relatively often (such as toe/camber/caster) all by hand, I have no technical readout. I'll make some adjustments, go for an aggressive drive and base my next adjustments off of that, typically. A bit shade-tree-mechanic like but hey, it's been working alright for me thusfar. I am not currently seriously competitive with the car but I do plan on signing up for a lifetime alignment when I find a reputable shop that offers it Suspension wise I am currently running hks hipermax coilovers, whiteline sways (F+R) (w/ oem endlinks), MS strut tower bars (F+R), Carbing underbracing (front +middle).

It would work but a 9.5" wheel would be better. However check the specifications of the tire you choose and that will give you a better indication of whether or not it's recommended. Different tires will have different optimal rim width ranges.

Sadly Enkei RPF1 only comes 17x9.5 +38 which can work with rolled rear fenders. Front might be fine depending on your ride height and alignment settings.

Flush is also a very relative term. Flush rolled fender? flush stock fender? lolz....

The definition of flush has dramtically changed over the past 10 years and I'm in the ever so trendy Nor and SoCal communities. lolz...
