Calling All Enkei Owners
cheers,
can you run 255 on the 9.5 inch wide rim without excessive stretching?
hmm i don't think my question is being interpreted correctly, wouldnt the additional tyre contact at the front due to the larger (in size, not particularly weight) make steering/cornering harder/less direct?

275s tramline. Sometimes violently, but I think you would get this with any wider tire that add leverage around the point that the wheels turn. With the wrong offset (on the wheel) 235s would tramline.
I disagree that 275s are overkill. In my opinion 285s are overkill.

Off topic, but -
So that's what it's called? After I put the 275s on my car, I definitely noticed that my car does this on some of the crappier roads. I just didn't know the technical term for it. I imagine when I get new tires and I go to 265s instead of 275s, and get a tire that's more of a street tire than the Azneni rt615s I have on it now, it would reduce this.
Good article off tirerack on tramlining - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=47

Not an Rx8, but a close relation!
As an ex-Rx8 driver I thought I'd post my baby with her new shoes.
- RPF1 17x8 +45, Michelin PP2 225x45x17.
- Eibach pro kit
- Whiteline front and rear sway bars.

I mean everything is the same shade of silver. Most things look better with some contrast, but it is your car. edit: What is the offset on the stock rims?

Looks great to me. I love Enkei RPF1 wheels. I would still have the 18x7.5" ones on my Mazda3 if it weren't for the fact that I kept bending them on these crappy Michigan roads. I would love a set of the black ones for my RX-8.

Looks like its time for you to move some where nicer. SoCal?
OK. I finally have my GTC01 wheels on. I'll add more pics soon, but I am about to get my Racing Brake rotors/pads installed so I will be doing that before my next photoshoot, haha. Tell me what you all think!

Edit: See my other post to see a simple "evolution" as I like to call it of my car: https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/pics-evolution-rx-8-amateur-owner-173542/

And further, can you run 255x40x18's, stock suspension height and no fender roll, on 9.5's without rubbing?

I think I'm missing something here. You want me to spray my car?
