Hey guys, I did some searching but could not find a great answer for this. Hoping someone with an aggressive setup can give me a suggestion.

I don't have a very aggressive setup myself, but the wheel specs make it borderline. Here's what I have:

Advan RS 18x9 +29
245/40/18 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs
Tein H-tech springs w/ Tokico D-specs

My problem is that I'm rubbing the front wheel well liner on the driver's side, during left turns. There is metal right behind the liner, so not much room to push it back. I think the Star Specs are actually a little wider and maybe taller than other tires of the same size - they're very beefy tires.

So, what are you guys with more aggressive setups doing to prevent the rubbing up front? I've been just living with it for a while now, but getting sick of the scraping sound. Here's what the car looks like right now:

take out the plastic liner.

Any chance the tire will hit the pinch weld, or whatever it is behind the liner? Could I just cut a portion of the liner out?

You can actually roll the front fenders a little and keep the plastic liner attached for slightly more room. Most people just remove the entire plastic, though.

nah it shouldn't. I haven't had any issues with it.

Thanks guys, I'll take another close look at it and decide what to do with it. Right now, the liner is cracked where the tire keeps hitting it. I would prefer not to remove the entire thing, so we'll see.

that helps me too. just picked up 18x9.5 +25rear and 18x9+25front and I'm on tein Stechs so I know I'm gonna have to roll fenders all the way around. not sure on tire yet but plan on running 245 40 but intersted on how 245 35 would look and I dont want the super strecth look.

I run a 245/40 on a 9.75. It isn't that far stretched. The 35 would be worse.

^working on it getting new barrels for my 3 piece front wheels soon just running the white 2 piece ones for now. eventually ill get another set of white ones for the rears.

Has anyone had issues with removing the front splash guards resulting in higher cruising oil temps??

The splash guards have nothing to do with oil temps. I know people without splash guards or an under tray who run in Texas summers without issue.
