Slowly destroyed mid-pipe resonator...
I recently just installed my OBX header... During the install I had the chance too look down my midpipe and get a quick glance at my Dynomax Muffler and noticed that the muffler seemed too be having it's interior "skin" being slowly peeled off (I'm guessing from the heat)...
Now I'm confused... The thing specifically say's it isn't a glasspack, so why is it slowly becoming distorted from my engine? I'm stuck between the thought of simply just buying a new midpipe meant specifically for our 8's so that I won't have too worry about the resonator melting too pieces... I only wish I didn't sell my AP midpipe, I need something with a resonator, I'm not too much of a fan of loud cars...

It's been a range from 5,000-7,000 miles...
EDIT:
I just called Agency Power asking for a midpipe, and guess f***ing what! I got a midpipe straight from the creators themselves, with 2 resonators on it!!! I haven't heard or seen any Agency Power midpipe with 2 resonators!!! When Matt e-mailed me some photo's of it I practically splurged in my pantolons!!!

oh I definitely will... I really can't wait too hear it. This resonator has been becoming less efficient for the past week, especially since I installed the OBX header. When I first installed the header it was loud, but deep sounding. A week has passed and the lowness was replaced with raspiness, something I totally mourn...
Monday is when I should get it...

My stainless packed midpipe disintegrated also .
Just having a new one fitted now after my new Trust Ti catback system made the exhaust so loud it knocks over old ladys on the side of the road .
Funnily enough I decided to fit 2x resonators also . A 3" at the front with a 2 1/2 at the back .
Made a recording of the before noise and will compare with the after in a new thread sometime .

my b&b midpipe has worked flawlessly for at least 15k miles, with almost 13k of those miles with turbo. I bought it used too...
the inside of the resonator is just a bunch of metal triangles sticking inwards in a round pattern. They're maybe 1/3 of an inch tall. I don't see how it could get damaged.
