Rev problem after 7000

FYI
Oil is not conductive, so it should not mess up the electrical signal, even if its soaked.
VDI will still be there, even with an aftermarked intake.
The other questions, I do not know.

well ive read that the VDI doesnt exactly get dirty, i was gonna take it out and see what i could do with it but if its not an item to get dirty removing it wont do anything. so i guess if im going to pin point that the VDI isnt working properly, could i take the actuator out? i dont have the tools to vacuum test to see if its working. can anyone list possible problems that the VDI commonly have? ill be looking into this over the holiday and see what i can find out.

ok nevermind. although i/we covered good ground. the less of this thread is check everything before you start taking stuff apart. i swear i checked it before and maybe i missed it. but my car is tuned for economy. hints 7k redline. i need a few hundred dumby slaps for that one. but i put it back to stock and it works like new. atleast i have new parts on it and clean parts too. i learned alot but over all. im a dumbass.
sorry if i wasted anyones time. thanks for any and all help i received during this event.
