Loss of compression?

So I was red lineing my 04 today and as soon as I got it up to 7000 rpms it dropped to like 6000 and my car slowed down by like 10 mph it never did this before... Is this a early sign of apex seals gone bad or something else?

It could be loss of compression, but it could also be a variety of other issues. Tell us more detail about your car:
Maintenance history
Auto/ Manual
Any mods

Plugs/ coils / wires should all be changed at the same time. Also, do you have the tools to take down your cat converter to inspect it? It's more than likely clogged, due to poor ignition.

Read the new owners stickies, as well as this one to learn about the importance of intake/ exhaust health.
