It finally happened
Why don't you just save us all and drive it over here Taj?
Hmm let me think about this for a second,,, no tune,, 400 mile drive,, Freeway,, steep hills,, Mountains to Sea level,, hmmmm. Ok come on over.

assembled!
I can see it now "Put down that side seal before you put an eye out!" "Alright who took the vaseline!"
And on the second radiator pic, you need a big arrow and a label!

removing the restrictor pill will not hurt the flow--it is there only to reduce "sounds" that can occur in the heater system when the water in the heater system is moving faster. the heater will still have the capacity to warm us well in the areas we live in.
I just offered a suggestion with something that has worked well with me. if it is not something you can use--ok then.

Well the operation is supposed to begin on Monday 8/21/08. I am really missing my 8 and am hoping for it's quick return to me. Ray tells me that he should have everything completed in 7-10 days. I don't know if they are going to video the event or not. I have asked Ray to post his progress and findings in this thread.

Either Friday or Saturday I will be moving into the new crib. Immediately thereafter I will be stowing Phil's car in my new garage and the engine parts for the rebuild will be ordered. I have a couple sources to shop for prices on OEM engine parts. While waiting for the parts to arrive we will begin the removal/rebuild process. Once the parts arrive we should, and I emphasize should, be able to get the car all done in 7-10 days. However, we can also expect a number of snags along the way. I know BHR has certainly had it's share lately.
As far as reporting things as we go along and livestreaming any video, I am not yet sure how good of a job I will be able to do with either one as I foresee 16 hour days just like I did in Tampa with mysql's engine. As such, I doubt I will have much energy to post at night. I'll give it my best effort, though.

You are not the only one - I need to make sure what ever it was that caused it is covered.

Hmm....let's see.....an older guy who came of age in the musclecar era is now driving a 1.3L, supercharged, rotary engine like he stole it in the Nevada heat and he wonders if disassembling the engine will reveal what happened to it to cause low compression..........
I think the problem may simply be related to his right foot!

.
It has to be a defect in the engine
. I mean 117 degrees F air temp is common with the people I run with

Well I finally got stopped for the night and parked the motorhome. I came here looking for news on my 8 and don't find any. Ether Ray is still working on it or did not get a chance to get started. I only have a couple of days left on my vacation.
The restrictor is in place to prevent gurgling noise inside the cockpit.
