Dealer says I have holes in the A/C compressor

I think this is a line of bull to get me to replace the compressor. I am going to go over there in the morning and ask them to show me where the holes are....my question is anyone have experience with holes in the a/c compressor?

Thanks in advance....

Doubtful, but not impossible. Take pics!!!!!

You ain't that far from me....we do live in a high salt air enviroment, but I don't see it happening.....condensor yes, compressor no.
For the sake of argument, is you car garage kept....if not how close to Intercoastal?
You don't drive in a swamp do you?
How much rust you have anywhere in the engine bay?

Did they say compressor, or condenser? The condenser (radiator-looking thing in front of teh real radiator) can get damaged really easily from road debris. Thus the reason for the '05+ MY had a guard installed from the factory in front of the condenser & radiator

If your A/C works there are no holes ...if it doesn't
....then you likely have holes...in the condenser

I went to boniface hiers, or as I call them boldface lairs, Mazda this morning and the guy corrected himself and said it was the condensor....I pulled it off and found the hole. They also said a pressure hose had a hole, however I looked over all the hoses and the only holes was the leaking orings I pointed out to them....anyway I'm going to do it myself instead of paying them $1005 they were asking....

Yeah, they are no different than any other dealer when it comes to price, however I would tell you that they are good at least from my experience and a few others.

So you did find a hole(no lie there).....and they said a pressure hose had a hole. Well, they more than likely used dye in the system under pressure, so I would tend to believe them on this one.........................but that's up to you.
