hello all!

ok a moment ago I went ahead and tuned the dwell setting down to 2.5 (not sure if its 2.5 or 2.0 so) and restarted the car, will be going down to 2.0 real soon

the 1st thing i can notice is that my vacuum idle is now @ -20 instead of -17ish.......and it stays there :D

joy oh joy! my engines ok! my baby's alright OMFG WTF BBQ I DONT HAVE TO PAY 500000000$ for ENGINE REBUILD!!! yay yay and Yay!!!

idle is great, haven't went out for a drive yet cus the rest of the map is pretty much in the ******* I think, the TPS cal is way too much (well, we adjusted that because we thought it wasn't calibrated correctly) so gonna put that down a bit and stuff

here's the bad news

even though I put it down to 2.5 now, I had yet, payed another price again..............it had fried my 3rd coil (from the left) in a matter of 4 days........the rest are ok, but now I am yet again, 1 coil short

I just ordered a new set of coils and spark plug wires for my 04. My old coils are wires are perfectly fine. No problem whatsoever. I have no heavy mod added to my engine and I'm a light driver. I decided to change them cuz ..........well....I thought it's time for a major tune-up...lol

Anyway....I will soon have old coils and wires sitting in my garage....

If taj....or anyone wants it.....let me know...

They will be available for taking in about 2 weeks.

so he said the coils might be bad since it sounds like it's mis-firing

oh well, hopefully it'll last another 50 miles or so

nope............it lasted...........5............... on the way home, I was accelerating on 2nd gear, from 4k --> 6k (turbo spoolage) and then mis-fire.........I got home, opened the hood

and lo and behold, the 2nd and 4th coils are........fried............fried, like KFC
the 1st one has a cracking sound when I try to move it, and the 3rd one i cant get to cus the stupid charge tube

nice, very.......nice........this is great really, here I am, broke, and coil-less with a car that can't drive without coils............

help T.T
Let me make sure I got this right, rather than learn how to do it yourself and save money you went to a shop to do one of the simplest maintenance things done? And then you complain about how you have no money for coils? Maybe you shouldn't **** money away on stupid junk.

Nothing that you would put fluid in. There is a bolt for that under the car.

I bet it's hiding on the floor of your garage or wherever you decided to do it.

^ whatever easy! I hope your car dies!

i cant even hear ray over the fone while you where driving

jesus Christ man @.@

about the coils, ok, I set the dwell down to 2.0 again, everything seems fine..........again

I have an exhaust leak where the turbo hits the manifold...........the damn scew that I screwed in halfway and couldn't tighten, obviously, came loose, causing the turbo to spool half-assed and not be able to spool to 7 because it's leaking exhaust out

need to fix that..........

If you've seriously overheated them they can't be trusted...spend the cash and upgrade/replace them as soon as you can
