what causes this noise in a turbo?
All right I think I finally found the answer. I think the high pitch noise on the turbo is caused by an anti-surge housing. Correct me if I'm wrong. Here is a perfect example of the sound.

So in a nutshell, different turbos make different noises? If so, is it the larger the turbo, the higher the pitch during spool up? This may be a better example of what I'm talking about.

Yeah I thought the synapse bov would have helped that. The last video really depicts the sound I was talking about. I really like the look of the protech setup though, with a cai of course.
You can see the valve is in the closed position when you hear the fluttering sound so I'm guessing that is the anti stall feature coming into play . Another good reason to run recirc vs VTA .
