its not that expensive, it filters very well and it has the highest bypass rated valve of them all.
besides --when you change oil every 3-5K miles--how big of a filter do you need?
yall have seen where i mounted mine? Mount it point up ( the opening) and that way you will never have the dry filter start up + when you change the oil it doesnt make as much of a mess.
Buy the filters from Paul at Mazmart by the case and you save a lot. Dont forget to mention my name to get the $1 discount!
Hey houston--been meaning to ask--how do you clean the magnets you placed in the pan?

If you want the best filter set up go with the double filter like Dannobre has--his oil has to be clean enough to cook with.

Can I use Honda Filters? I swear some honda boys told me that even their oil filters have vtec in them ... the moment u turn ur engine on, you can hear that vtec kick in from the oil filter!

I bought a case of 09 filter from Paul, they are fine but I don't see the point of a bypass if you change the filter so often.

Can you elaborate on point up? (photo )

I remove the oil pan with every oil change .......I only have the drain plug magnet all my other magnets are on the outside of the oil filter

the idea of a bigger filter is increased capacity...really for no other reason.

V tec oil filter?? Man you are holding out on us--whats the part number--is it j spec--has to be. Carbon fiber type yo? Hot damn
Love it......
Oh ok magnet on the oil filter--got it.
filter up means mount it exactly opposite than the way it is oem--oem is filter down position.
when you have one of those and change the filter it is empty when you start the car. That means for a micro sec--no oil.

well I dont know damnit!...just kidding today was the first drive in over a week

I was on vacation at the farm wednesday-sunday of last week then tuesday-15min ago I have been to houston, temple and back to SA teaching 450 service providers that do not what to listen to me (some young white boy....can I get a .gif of that) tell them how they will conduct business with our organization moving forward. one company was so pissed in fact they got up and left....BUSTED...it was epic.

for the most part car ran good but I REALLY REALLY need to bleed my clutch and adjust it again. It still has hard starts but I was able to get Panera for lunch and the car started back up after I ate....maybe 15min. Right now sitting at almost 800miles

I did expierence what I would call a "blip". Kind of hard to describe but I was just cruising and there was a milsec of hesitation/loss of power (could be me overly sensitive....but it did it again today)....no CEL or any other abnomalies.

forgot to mention I got my replacement spin on adapter (+1 for Perma-Cool and their customer Service)

so maybe if I get a wild hair I will remove my UIM fix the kink in my oil pressure line, investigate the oil temp and if I need to mod a head sheild as well as install my oil filter relocation.

9k you will have to fill me in on the battery relocation. Hell if you guy are coming back from Austin you are more than welcome to work on it here.....we can all hover in front of the big *** fan (its funny we purchased some "Big *** Fans" for work but we had them remove the decal...sensitive customers and all )

I think both scott and I are attempting to do a battery relocation. Just need to pick up wire and terminals.

Glad to hear you car is running better. Dude not sure if you remember what driving stock was like..... i do... am still there for the most part. Still have crazy anomalies all the time.

LOL We have a few clients with Big *** Fan stores.

When corporate first came over calling their sites big *** fan site I thought it was really funny. Then I found out that was the name of the company and laughed even harder.

It's not often you hear a VP in a large corporation say something like "big *** fans".
