fittings? just try summit racing --they have stainless fittings of that type if you want that color.
If you are adding performance options to your rebuild--then I vote for a lighter flywheel. It does change the way the car drives. It may free up just a tad of power, but its the increased ability to free rev faster that makes a difference in the way it drives. Its worth the money to me.

buy BHR\spec's flywheel.
9lbs, very well balanced (better than most other flywheels) and it takes very little getting accostumed to it.
9lb isn't that light either... there are 4.5lbs flywheels out there...

I was considering 9 light....4.5...gasp...talk about hard to drive
I have been talking with Charles about the BHR flywheel....I was confused how the ACT counterweight would work for the BHR/Excedy/ACT flywheels when they are all different weights.
anyone have anymore reasoning

I understand the point of the counterweight, but I guess I dont understand "how it works".....if the flywheel weight is different why wouldnt the counterweight be adjusted accordingly (excluding the dynamic balancing)?
Is the counterweight there to balance the flywheel or to balance the rotors and front counterweight?

The counterweights on the front stack and rear flywheel work off each other. It all plays a hand in balancing the rotating assembly.
Also stop trying to understand it, its a rotary if it were simple and worked correctly they would be calling it RE8 instead of RX8.

The rotating assembly is balanced either with a stock flywheel if it is being used or a rear counterweight if an aftermarket flywheel is being used. This is to balance with the weight of the front counterweight that is under the front cover.
Once the front and rear assemblies are balanced together then adding something that is already balanced to the assembly ( like an aftermarket fly/clutch assembly) will not cause an imbalance

the CW replaced the "internal balancer" right?
then this makes sense
let me rephrase alittle clearer but I still dont see why a CW can work for a 12lb FW and a 9lb.
