RX8 Compression Calculator for Android

RX8 Compression Calculator for Android and iPhone/iPod
Dear all,
I've created a simple utility for Android for Renesis compression adjustment (based on previous work of teknics and IOANNIStsa).
Don't expect anything fancy though.
The utility is only useful for adjusting a compression, don't expect any rating such as IOANNIStsa's.
Here it is: https://market.android.com/details?i...tionapps.rx8cc
Cheers
Update:
The iPhone/iPod version has been approved by Apple and can be found here
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rx8-c...7863?ls=1&mt=8

I'm confused... what else is needed for this to work besides the app?

Yep, unfortunately going through cydia you are losing a lot of public exposure from those who do not have jailbroken devices. Plus, once you have been targeted as developing unlicensed applications, good luck trying to license a product to sell through the apple store in the future.

For those of you that wanted an iPhone/iPod app, check first post for the link
@Leejin nothing else (if I understand your question). Apart from doing a compression test on your engine that is.
Cheers

OOhhh... I understand now. It's a number converter. Gotcha. I thought it was adjusting the compression somehow on the engine itself. Haha... I need to read things better. X)

so... according to this calculator... my readings are out of spec. Not sure if I'm doing this right, so maybe someone can chime in for me. My readings were:
#1 @ 318 RPM
7.8, 7.2, 7.5
#2 @ 318 RPM
7.6, 7.5, 7.6
#1 @ 318 RPM
7.8, 7.2, 7.5
#2 @ 318 RPM
7.6, 7.5, 7.6

If you don't have a warranty and your engine starts fine without issues, then no need for an action.
Enjoy your car

Thanks for the fast reply.
edit---
Looking forward to the update as I'll be show casing your app at our meet.
I've got 10 rx8's to do compression tests on

Any thoughts of adding altitude compensation? Or using the Nexus built-in barometric pressure sensor?

v1.3 with delete functionality is available on Google Play.
@wcs never thought about altitude compensation, but does it really matter? Does Mazda take into account altitude when evaluating a compression?

Ok ..... ummm does altitude matter
Well yes IMO and so does temperature, you could even say instead of altitude to use barometric pressure.
Does Mazda compensate for these things?
I'm sorry I don't know.
Here is the altitude compensation chart that I discovered doing research on other sites and from online "Engine Tech" books
I live at 1579 feet so I am interested in compensating for thinner atmosphere.
I'm also interested in how you actually calculate the "Normalized" compression value. Example when you have X psi value at Y rpm and you normalize it to 250 rpm.
It's obviously not a direct linear value as my numbers never seem the same as yours.
Great work man, love the app
