You'll still need to get an official compression test from Mazda.

I would do this:
1) Collect any supporting material, like oil change invoices
2) Remove any mods that you think might cause you problems with the dealer
3) Call Mazda dealer and complain about hot start issues
4) Insist on compression test
5) See what they say.

Ken...to recap my experience. They want $389 all in. Which includes a compression test followed by decarb. Then followed by a second compression test. If it fails the 2 nd time. Then they want to see maintenance records. If all good. Then Mazda Canada approves for engine.

Indeed.
I was thinking of showing up earlier and requesting anyone wanting a compression test to try and do so as well.

I will bring 4 stands and a small floor jack along with some wood to drive up on to for the slammed suspension cars.

If you have some specific ramp device that you have to use for your car, you should bring it.

And remember your lug nut key and/or any special thin walled socket that might be required to get your wheel off!!!

I will bring a selection of tools and sockets but I'm not showing up in a Snap-On truck.
