regarding engine flooding

i have the phobia of my car flooding, i always wait til the temp is at the middle before i shut it off. i was wondering how warm does it have to be before i shut it off really? and could i just rev the engine to warm it up faster if i have to get out?

if you've gotten the upgraded starter/battery tsb done, its almost not a problem anymore
i shut off cold frequently with no problems.

^ yeah, i still let it warm up to about a quarter way just to be on the safe side.

revving doesn't really heat it up much faster, and it's probably bad for it if you go too high.

agree

also make sure your ignition system is in good order . Bad plugs will increase the possibility of flooding .
