Hey all. Going to resurrect this thread. I noticed my 8 hasn't been using much oil the last couple of thousand miles. Got some seafoam and got a couple of ounces sucked in (bit by bit).

I had good vacuum from the start, so hopefully the problem is not in the oil lines somewhere ... I guess when I try to install my sohn adapter this weekend (hopefully) I will see how hard it is to take them out and clean. I have a feeling that it won't be easy.

I will do the seafoam thing again and keep an eye on oil level. Thankfully I've been premixing with about 300ml of Idemitsu per tank and even more now - 500ml per fillup (10-12 gallons). Hopefully I haven't done too much damage yet. It's a rebuilt motor with 6k miles on it so should be ok.

I will keep you posted on the oil consumption. Hopefully it goes up.
