oil cooler fitting size

Does anyone know the thread size of the banjo bolt that goes into the oil coolers is? I am in the process of fitting a third oil cooler in series between the stock ones and I want to get some hoses made. I would just take the bolt out and hand it to the hose guy, but then I'd have no way to drive to the hose shop, and chances are, since its metric, they'll have to order it anyway.

Anybody have a line on the thread size of that bolt?

thanks!
MD

They are 18mm banjo bolts...hope that helps you can buy the fittings at a good hydraulic place. I just had a oil line fabbed with banjo's on both ends....teflon/ss tubing with shrink wrap stress relief for $30 CDN

Metric threads are standard pitch for the size I believe. The hydraulics guy said it was a standard part. I didn't need to worry about the threaded bolt...mine has the banjo end on both ends :D

I'm looking for this info as well. I'm after the banjo bolt size for near the filter but from the service manual the same bolt is used on the oil cooler.

I was told the rx-7 has either 18mmx1.5mm or 16mm x 1.5 metric. it didn't state years so I guess the FD has the 18 and so dose the 8.

From what dannobre says, I believe the fitting on the 8's cooler is 18x1.5mm.
