Hood Release Cable

Hood Release Cable
Well... sure enough I'm an idiot.
I was attempting to lengthen my hood release cable and route it around the air inlet, when I uh.. somehow cut it.. -cough- .
My question is can anyone think of a way or with what, other than ordering one from the dealer, on how to replace it? I have all ready given them enough of my money.
I still want to route it around the air inlet because of the REVi Intake and Ram Air duct. I just don't like it there.
Right now I have it ghetto rigged so I can open it from underneath the fog lights.
Not that safe I know, but I have to be able to open the hood.
I'd even go with some type of remote opener that forces the latch to move.
Hit me some suggestions I'm down to be creative.

Just looked at it, pretty simple:
two options,
1)lengthen cable.
2)replace cable entirely.
If you choose option 1, simply goto home depot, buy some clips
and a short length of wire, and reroute it.
If you choose option 2, just rethread the wire entirely.
