Oh forgive me: tranny oil check.

Oh forgive me, I tried a search and it came to my attention that the manual didn't state where the tranny oil dipstick is. Can someone tell me the location of such device?

AT or MT? I think there's a dipstick for AT that's mentionned in the manual but if you've got a MT, you can't check it... it's flush or nothing AFAIK

A manual transmission is a sealed environment. You can check the fill but you would have to crawl under the car and remove a bolt on the tranny. You would usually only check the fluid when you are doing a flush / refill. There is no need to check it between maintenance intervals.

The M/Ts are checked through the fill plug on the driver's side of the trans. I use a 15/16" wrench to get the plug out(whatever that is in metric). The trans takes 1.8-2 qts.
haha, your package arrive today?

OK got it... there is no tranny oil dipstick. So how do I know if it is filled correctly from factory? looks like a tranny/diffy oil change is in order soon.
Redline 75w90 for MT and rear diffy?

You remove the bolt from the filler hole. Oil level is correct when it is flush with the bottom of the hole. If all is well, you should either get a little dribble when you remove the bolt, or if not you can poke a fingertip into the hole and you should be able to dip into the oil. Fill procedure is to add slowly until it starts coming out of the hole. Don't fill too quickly or it will come out before it's actually full. All of this assumes that the car is LEVEL, side to side and front to back, when checked. That usually means a lift, a ramp, or lifting and supporting the car at all 4 corners, etc.
