Newbie here with Starting problem!!!!

Ok, so just want to say hi to everyone, my name is Russ and im in the UK i gather most of the people are from the states in here.

So heres my story,

I bought my 8 a few days ago, usual problems started straight away, EML or CEL to you guys was on and had it checked, said missfire r2, although it wasnt miisfiring and still ran good apart from slightly dodgy tickover but still went like stink! so, I changed coils, plugs and wires and no difference to EML (cel) after a day of searching this forum i found the thread that told me how to reset the KAM so hey presto! EML is out and has stayed out. However, Im still getting problems with hot starting the 8. Starts good first thing in the morning but after a good run it takes a few minutes and sounds like **** trying to start but always manages to get going.

Anyway, today i had the cat tested and it is perfect, so I have changed -

Plugs
Coils
Leads

And i have had CAT checked so it leaves me thinking either low compression or faulty starter, but if starter was faulty it wouldnt engage good when cold and not hot would it? As it still sounds powerful but its just like the engine wont spark until its been cranked a few times when hot!

As for low compression, I havent had a compression test done but i do know there is a very powerful spark from the plus when engine is cranked as we checked each one after changing all of the above and the guy in the garage got a massive shock from it lol (was quite funny) also surely if there was low compression i would be having poor performance wouldnt i? but i'm not and the car is reaching good speeds very quickly!?!? (confused)

This problem is really getting to me and any help or suggestions would be more than appreciated :-)

As you've already pointed out... warm starts can be a sign of low compression.
When I first experienced warm start issues, it ended up being fine after I got the updated starter (compression I checked and was fine).
Then later on I had starting issues again (worse when it was warm) and it ended up being corrosion and rust build-up on the two studs and terminals on the starter solenoid.

Just a couple things to consider...
