All Manual 6speed Rx-8 from 2004-2011 can interchange starters. +09 is the best one. It's a 2kw with less teeth.

I have the series 1 2kw upgraded starter from Mazda, Highest cranking rpms I've seen were 330. On the Autozone 1.4kw starter crpms are 184.
