here is a PDF. http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/2-Strok...rcycle_Oil.pdf

don't know if its synthentic or not, its the only brand at the napa/shucks/autozone that was NOT tcw-3, and meets JASO FC,API TC, ISO EGD

Ask them if they can order the 2 that i mentioned earlier, or the durablend that should cope with the catalyzer

I use Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube, UCL. Bought one of the little pre-measured 6oz bottles and just refill that from a larger bottle. Not quite sure what the price is though for a large bottle. The little guy is 5.99 canadain, I know the big bottle is much cheaper per ounce.

It does? I'm not running a cat. How does that affect me?

yes it does - some premixes are no good with cat - marine grade I think . So you are fine without a cat .

Cool, thanks. Found a killer deal on Pennzoil Marine Synthetic 2 stroke at Walmart today and picked up a gallon. But it says the 100:1 ratio is 12 ounces. That seems a little high.

Haha, I read in another thread people were doing 100:1. So 250:1 then.

Also, when discussing ratios, you need to know that many people are talking about cars that do not have an OMP. It was much more common to disable the OMP on older rotaries. It's also typical to use more premix on the track.

I was looking at premix all weekend and I found semi-synthetic blend stuff as cheap as $.25 a oz. It got me thinking, What if all TC3W premix has the same benefits in our engines. The Walmart Supertech meets all the minimum requirements and is way cheap. There were so many brands it makes your head spin. Its funny because the guy in the lawn care part at Lowe's says rotary people come in from time to time asking about it.

Anyway, I bought the Fully Synthetic Pennzoil Marine stuff pretty cheap at Walmart so I went for it. Also, the big jugs of Mobile 1 were $7-8 cheaper then at Autozone but they only had 0W-30 and I wanted 0W-40. But my dad got five quarts of Mobil 1 for like $22.00.

Oh btw Pennzoil fully synthetic marine(what I run) is 15.95 a gallon at advanced auto....I was looking at walmart and they wanted 26 bucks or something but advance has it for 16....

Also I run a cat, stock OMP rates and use 8oz everyday and about 10-12 if i'm headed to the mountains!

I thought the consensus was TCW-3 was not the right stuff and Boat oil was bad.

Am I the only one confused?
