Have you set a retail price and started taking preorders yet?

I know you said you didn't add in the EGT feature yet and that we could solder it on, but are you going to be adding it on the boxes that you sell? Or selling that part separately?

I know this has been said about... 233 times but pure genius, can't wait for the GB. Two thumbs up.

Going to give the buyers source code so those of us that know what we are doing can customize the program?

Stick a license on it like GPL that lets you keep copyright but lets customers tweak to fit their needs and share those tweaks. Also they might come up with cool stuff you can freely incorporate back into updated versions.

Nicely done! A well-written manual is such a beautiful thing to see. More than one excellent product has been killed by crappy/non-extant manuals. This manual rocks!

I've been following this thread since it came out. I'd be very much on the fence about getting this because I have a long-standing carPC project forever a work in progress w/ a Hymee sCANalyzer. I feel this would make many of my things redundant.

Regardless, huge kudos for making this. I envy you for what you have done. As a budding programmer out of college, I wish to be able to accomplish something of a similar caliber one of these days.

Agreed with the redundancy with a CarPC. One of the reasons I decided not to do a CarPC installation, as this + bluetooth ODB to my phone + phone being a mini PC itself, it covered what I wanted out of a CarPC.

Eagerly awaiting buying instructions...

I searched this thread for an answer to this but didn't find one:

Will users still be able to use a ScanGauge II, Cobb AP, Hymee Scanalyzer, or other OBD-II scanner/programmer at the same time? I have a Cobb AP and would hope to use it at the same time. Bad mojo if I'm installing the Cobb and the CAN bus burps...

Heh, indeed; my phone is now a GPS device in a pinch with a windshield mount. The GPS software on the PC is not looking to get a lot of use now.

Yes, you should still be able to use anything that connects to OBD2. I haven't tried it myself as I don't have any of those devices, but i don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Hey pieter3d I was wondering the same thing about being able to have the AccessPORT connected to the OBD2 port at the same time as the GB is running.
I know some of the guys have the Cobb AP so we can try it out at the meeting, and maybe if we're lucky Jeff will be there too.

Very good instructions, the pics are total win with one reservation: it's still a mystery to me how to remove the "mystery bolt" holding the head unit in. Do the panels have to come off or can one reach around them? A pic of that would help.

You dont have to remove anything to get to that bolt. You lay on the driver's side floor and it is just up in that area by the side of the radio.
